Chaweng Cove Beach Resort

An excellent choice in Chaweng! No complaints regarding the service, breakfast food, or room amenities. The hotel grounds are great, and it has its own beach with sun loungers.

Highly recommend the bungalow accommodation! It's an easy walk to the pool and the beach. Breakfast is convenient; while not super varied, it tastes good. The bed is comfortable, though the lights are a bit too bright. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. All the staff are friendly. You can also book tours at the hotel, which is convenient. The beach area by the hotel is quite calm, private, and very beautiful and clean. It's not as crowded as the hotels in the party zone, but you can still walk all the way there if you want to explore everything. Just deducting a few points because the Wi-Fi didn't work in the room during our stay, probably due to maintenance. Also, for parking, you have to use the lot across from the hotel. You can only park briefly in front of the hotel.

The hotel left an exceptionally pleasant impression. I particularly liked the location — right by the sea, so I could enjoy the beautiful beach and wonderful views almost every day.

We stayed at the hotel for the second time because we loved Koh Samui, the hotel, and the vacation so much that we decided to come back. They built an elevator in the hotel, which is super convenient now. It's a small three-story building, and now you can easily go up with suitcases, strollers, or just by yourself using the excellent elevator. That made us really happy. The breakfasts have become more diverse; the hotel staff really listens to guest feedback and makes our stays amazing. On the beach, the staff are great at quickly setting up sun loungers and umbrellas for hotel guests; they always find a spot for you. Everything in the hotel is well thought out, and we really love it. We often ate at the hotel restaurant, and the chefs cooked delicious food. The garden is well-maintained, and there's a wonderful smell when you walk through the hotel, especially when the jasmine is blooming. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. The only thing was that we were three families, and only our room had a smart TV, so we could watch movies in Russian. Maybe it's not a big deal, but I enjoy watching videos on a big screen. Special thanks to the staff; they are wonderful, hardworking people who always tried to help and take care of the hotel guests. We really want to return to Chaweng Cove next year. I stayed for 21 days in August 2026. It was my first time in Samui, and I'm absolutely thrilled! For me, beach relaxation was exactly what I wanted. The sea was gentle, but there were also some waves. The service was top-notch, and the amenities were excellent. Overall, I had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave. I'm planning to come back, and only to this place!

We loved everything! The hotel has its own private beach with sun loungers and umbrellas (though sometimes there weren't enough loungers on the beach, so we'd just relax by the pool). Breakfasts were a bit repetitive, with only the soups changing, but no matter what time we went, everything was always well-stocked (omelets, fried eggs, boiled eggs, vegetables, fruits, soups, pastries, bread, cheese, rice with stewed meat and vegetables, bacon, and sausages). The hotel grounds are beautiful; I recommend getting a garden bungalow, as you'll have your own gazebo and a drying rack for clothes. The hotel provides rubber slippers and a beach bag with towels. Right next to the hotel is a 7-Eleven, and on the same side, there's a fruit stand with really great guys working there. We ordered fruit smoothies and sliced fruit from them, and they always treated us to bananas or watermelon while we waited. The hotel offers scooters for rent (located on the property) and also helped us rent a car at the best price with insurance (I compared prices on all platforms and was surprised that the hotel's price was better). They delivered the car to the hotel and picked it up there too. There was a 5000 baht deposit, and we had no issues whatsoever from the rental company; they returned our deposit and we shook hands.

Cons: 1. The biggest issue: the king-size bed is made up of two single beds pushed together, with two mattresses and two mattress toppers. This setup doesn't create a single, unified surface, resulting in a sloped gap in the middle. If you're sleeping three to a bed (with a child) or as a couple cuddling, someone will end up in that gap. I slept like that for all six nights and woke up with a sore back. This is the biggest drawback of this hotel, and I wouldn't recommend it if this is a critical factor for you. 2. The bed linen and towels often look worn out (not pristine white). 3. The doors (entrance, bathroom) have sagged. There's a finger-width gap between the door and the frame. This means all the mosquitoes will be in your room. 4. There's no ventilation in the room at all. The only window is fixed shut. So, to get fresh air into the room, you have to live with the door open. 5. The family deluxe bungalows are separated from the road by a wall. You sit on your veranda and stare at this wall. It feels like being in a concrete box. If they put some ivy on it, the view would be much better. 6. The breakfasts are average; there's room for improvement. There's no variety. The croissants are dense and cottony, and the muffins are heavy. There's no choice for children at all – they should add waffles and pancakes to the menu. The omelet, however, is tasty. 7. The bungalows are clustered together, with little privacy between them. 8. They don't set up tables on the sand (on the beach) in the evenings – it would have been nice to have that for a romantic dinner. 9. The hotel lacks Thai soulfulness in its decor and small details. Pros: 1. Well-maintained green grounds. The gardener does a great job. 2. Good room cleaning. 3. The hotel grounds are clean. 4. Good beach. Good sun loungers (though some are already torn at the feet and breaking down). 5. Beautiful restaurant (veranda area). 6. The family deluxe bungalow is spacious (we stayed with an 11-year-old child and it was comfortable). 7. The bungalow is very bright, with many good light sources. 8. Good service at reception. 9. They congratulated me with a cake for my birthday – a nice touch.

Only a 15-minute walk to the shopping mall. • Room: Spacious, clean, and modern. Features a large, comfortable bed and good Wi-Fi. • Cleanliness: Top-notch. Rooms are cleaned daily, and everything sparkles. • Staff: Very friendly and responsive. The front desk staff are always helpful, and service in the restaurant is quick. The housekeepers are all lovely. Everyone smiles and greets you. • Food: The buffet is varied, always offering fresh fruits, vegetables, and eggs. Delicious and plentiful.
