Rixos Downtown Antalya - the Land of Legends Access

I've stayed at many Rixos hotels in different countries. Some of their hotels have the 'Premium' designation. However, this Rixos Downtown Antalya is NOT Premium. So, I don't understand some of the demanding reviews. The hotel doesn't hide the fact that it's an older, standard 5-star property, but with good service. Basically, if you don't expect premium when it's not advertised, everything will be fine. The grounds are very compact, but they have everything you need for a small, comfortable vacation. No, there's no salmon for breakfast, but the food is quite varied and high-quality; Rixos stays true to itself in this regard. The room was good (we had a Comfort room with a sea view), and everything was in working order, including the bathroom. No dirt, mold, or other common issues with older hotels were noticed. Housekeeping was done daily. I only noted one downside: the double bed had two single mattresses covered by one sheet. By morning, they would separate, so one of us would wake up in the gap between the mattresses. The pillows were also uncomfortable, and there was no pillow menu. Otherwise, everything was great. The heated pool was 29-30 degrees Celsius, there's a spa, hammam, Russian steam room, and Finnish sauna. The landscape is picturesque, and they have good bicycles (free of charge) for rides along the sea.

Aside from the outdated rooms, I believe the location and views are the best in the area. The hotel's three meals a day were the best I had during my half-month stay in Turkey.

Excellent city hotel for the off-season! This is our second time visiting in mid-March – the prices are still low-season, but the service and weather are excellent. The rooms aren't the newest, but they update something every year. Everything is clean, and towels and bedding are changed daily. They're very responsive to all requests. The food is great. The pool is heated. Fresh juices are always available in the spa area. Starbucks coffee for everyone. Bicycles are accessible.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The Russian-speaking staff were always available and very helpful. The food was delicious. The rooms are a little dated, but it's not a deal-breaker. I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel lives up to its star rating.

The hotel's biggest and most prominent advantage is its location. It boasts a nice beach, a promenade nearby, a large green area, and the old town is within walking distance. The hotel itself is fine, but the rooms are both outdated and tired. Cleanliness is excellent, though (which is always a challenge in Turkish hotels, even 4- and 5-star ones). There are issues with outlets: to charge my phone, I had to move the bedside table. The only accessible outlets are for the kettle and in the bathroom. In today's reality, this is objectively insufficient.
