Residence Eden

The staff were all excellent, friendly and as helpful as they could be. There was however no TUI Rep on site so we never had the chance to speak to anyone in person- we had to use the text messaging service which wasn’t instant answers. The location of the actual complex is awful unless you have access to a car. There is no pedestrian access to anything near by. The complex seems to be in the middle of an industrial area surrounded by highways. The free shuttle bus provided only takes you in to the town of Peschiera. The nearest supermarket for self caterers is about half a mile away with no pedestrian access so required a taxi at €15 Euro each way just to get some basics like fresh fruit, milk, bread etc The “mini market” on sight was never open EVER!

Apartment was spacious but basic. NO KETTLE! Air con on warm worked well. Bed was comfortable (make yourself on arrival). Shower was small and temperature control was poor. No hot water from sink on arrival, had to contact reception to have fixed. Grounds are kept clean and tidy. No mozzies during our stay. Overall, if just using as a place to sleep and wash its ok!

My wife and I stayed at Eden Residence with our two SEN children on Mon 6th October for 4 nights, safe to say we will not be coming back to the apartments as a whole but definitely want to stay somewhere else in Lake Garda as it was beautiful. We asked if the room had a kettle but was told there was no kettle, we got in the room and it was a kettle you put on the hob which had a strange smell and made the brew water murky. We had quite a few plates and cups with marks like they hadn’t been washed properly so had to re wash them. The air-con had a musty smell to it when it was on. The shower wasn’t in a good condition and the shower head had different speeds coming through the holes like they were blocked. The beds weren’t made when we got there so had to make them up, from previous holidays the bedding is normally sorted. The room had no toaster only a sandwich press which took ages to make a piece of toast then I gave up. The smell in the cupboards and drawers as well as the pots had a strange smell like what I can only describe as a house that’s not been lived in for a while or touched much. My daughter said it smelt like an old persons house. We were told at reception that all pools were open 8am-8pm but when me and my 2 children both with autism to the indoor pool we were told at 6.50pm that they were closed which upset my daughter and son. To top it off when we checked in we were told that they needed my wife’s bank details that they would charge it 100€ if there was anything damaged or missing when we left. The reception said it was all fine and good to go. We have woke up this morning to a charge attempted which was 100€, luckily my wife leaves the money in her savings so it was not taken. I have rang the hotel and emailed to be told ring back in the morning when they have spoken with the manager as they are not aware of it. Good points it was a lovely area we stayed in and had vineyards close and the weather was fab for the time of the year and shops were quite near and only less than 10mins away as a lot of bars and restaurants were closed due to it being out of season.

The room is somewhat basic but sufficient as a place just to sleep. At the time of our visit much of the facilities were closed but we were not informed. A great feature is the shuttle bus service to Peschiera. Very disappointed with the evening meals which for the most part were just luke warm and a buffet service.

We are due to return to the UK tomorrow 1st October, there is no entertainment team on board and we were told the day of arrival 24th September they had left , we were not informed this previously, there was a duo singing on Friday night who were Passable. Several pools and an indoor pool for cooler days The site is a bit remote and the lack of pavement outside the complex means it's dangerous to walk anywhere and the free bus is a godsend and runs until 11pm with a few hours break. The food is served in the Parc Hotel we were half board staying in the apartments which were fine on the whole. Food wasn't great and we mostly ate out. You get local wine, lager , tea and coffee with meals. Perschiera centre is lovely and not to expensive for drinks and food. Boat trips are available to Sirmoine and other destinations all stunning. We visited Verona and Venice by train very regular service and enjoyed it very much, Italy is stunning and so many beautiful things to see, Many designer shops in Verona and Venice. Dolomites are impressive. On the whole a beautiful cultural experience with many churches , the basillica is unreal and vaporetta water taxis in Venice are Great. Covered in mosquito bites so come prepared otherwise a well worthy experience, Would come again but maybe a bit earlier however hotel staff said July and August is mad so it's weighing up what you want
