My stay at Daiichi Takimotokan as a solo traveler was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I experienced immaculate service from the attentive staff, who made traveling alone feel incredibly welcoming and seamless. Although they can be quite strict with the check in and check out time, they are really committed to make the room in perfect condition.
I stayed in an East Wing tatami room, which was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and offered a deeply relaxing, authentic Japanese atmosphere to unwind in. Location-wise, the hotel is unbeatable, as it is conveniently located near the entrance of Hell Valley, making it effortless to step outside and explore the stunning volcanic landscapes at my own pace.
The highlight of my trip was undoubtedly the best onsen experience I have ever had. The sheer variety of hot spring baths and therapeutic waters overlooking the scenery was breathtaking and peaceful. To top it all off, the extensive buffet breakfast offered a magnificent spread of fresh local dishes that perfectly fueled my days of sightseeing. I highly recommend this beautiful ryokan for any solo adventurer and cannot wait to return!
