The room rates are reasonable, and the rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast offers a great variety, and the location is very convenient—close to Chinatown and a tram station, just a 5 to 7-minute walk away. It is tucked away in a quiet spot despite being in a bustling area. Bottled water isn't provided in the room initially, but you can request it from the front desk the first time, and then reuse the bottle by refilling it at the water dispenser on the first floor!

Honestly, the only good thing about this hotel is its facade. For 2,000 RMB a night, what you get is an elevator that rattles like a tractor (one out of three was completely out of order), a room that smells like ancient history (a "hundred-year heritage"), a patched-up ceiling with NO lights, light switches that look over thirty years old, a mattress that feels miles away from the headboard, pillows that feel like tens of thousands of old men have slept on them, a TV mounted absurdly close to the ceiling, and power outlets as loose as an old pair of sweatpants. To top it off, the front desk staff was pretty mean—they intentionally assigned us the wrong room type and acted completely begrudging when we asked to switch to the correct one. I have no idea how this place ever earned a four-star rating. Strip it away immediately! That being said, credit where it's due: Ctrip's customer service was fantastic and super prompt. They helped cancel the second night's reservation, which was a total lifesaver.

## Location Great location: a 5-minute walk from Haymarket station and not far from Central Station. Within walking distance of Market City and Chinatown. You can take a tram or walk to QVB. ## Service Reviews mentioned that delivery takes an hour, but I personally tested it with slippers and a shaving kit, and it arrived within 20 minutes, which is quite fast for Australia. The front desk staff were friendly and professional; not overly enthusiastic, but not neglectful either. ## Facilities The hardware is indeed old – the walls, elevators, room doors... I'd say it's good value for money if the price is within three digits. However, given the dated facilities, the fact that the room is kept relatively clean (dust-free corners) and the bedding is comfortable and clean is commendable, and the management deserves praise. ## Pros The double room has two 1.3m wide beds. The hotel allows 2 adults and 2 children, and it was spacious and comfortable in practice.

The hotel's facilities are outdated! The elevator access control kept failing to read my card, and only one of the three elevators was working. After a long wait, I finally got into an elevator, only for my card not to work. I had to go back to my floor with another guest who happened to be going to the same floor, and then my room card wouldn't work either! The hotel was full, and I waited for ages for an elevator to go down. In the end, I had to take the stairs from several floors up; I was so frustrated! Because my card failed again when I went up for the second time! I had to take the stairs multiple times, it was ridiculous!

The service was excellent, and they even allowed early check-in, which was very thoughtful. Unfortunately, there was a long hair on the bed, which was a bit of a hygiene минус, but overall it was still good. Oh, and the 3 yuan coffee promoted downstairs was terrible!

The hotel entrance has stairs, which isn't very convenient. The room is a bit old-fashioned. However, it's located near a university and Chinatown, so the surroundings are good. It's also not far from the University of Sydney. Overall, it's an economical option. The breakfast is good.

The breakfast was excellent! It's not far from the train, so getting around is convenient. If you're going to ICC Sydney, it's right in the city center. Highly recommended!
