The location is superb. A beautiful looking hotel. The greeting from the staff was friendly,perfect and professional . Our room was very clean and comfortable. All the staff are excellent. We had a meal in the restaurant which was exceptional. There was free parking just over the road. Would highly recommend it

We were very well looked after by all the staff who went out of their way to help with mobility problems of one of our group - with especial commendation to. NIcholas who sorted out a forgotten case with great efficiency on a late Sunday evening, and which arrived the next morning!We can’t thank him enough! The hotel is absolutely charming, with the restaurant terrace by the water wheel and weir, and bistro Fil de l’eau by the riverside. We stayed in an annex, a short walk or golf cart ride away in a beautifully restored room (more like a suite) in the Abbots House, and a balcony overlooking the river. Thoroughly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Le Moulin de L’Abbaye. Our room had a terrific view of the river, it was extremely comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. One of the best stays we’ve had in a hotel in France! Top notch, thanks very much! Highly recommended.

This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. But, what truly stood out was the staff. At the front desk, at breakfast, and in the fabulous restaurant—everyone was so welcoming and helpful. This is one of the places that is worth the hype.

Absolutely LOVED our stay. Everything was perfect. We even got upgraded! Room was lovely and clean with a pretty view from the 1st floor (2nd floor in North America). Location was excellent. Our favourite staff was Benedict at the front desk- she was so lovely and friendly. She was a joy to see at the reception. Our other favourite staff was Sammy at the restaurant who was attentive and also hilarious. Our “4 course” dinner was divine. Spoiler alert: you get more than 4 courses. On market day, don’t plan on moving your car. We took a detour that google set for us and it was stressful. The WiFi isn’t fast, but it wasn’t really an issue for us. I would definitely stay here again. I didn’t want to leave.

Corner room in Mill with water view (#4) with A/C and cross ventilation highly recommended. Bed, however, is very lumpy and mattress should be replaced. Good continental or a la carte breakfasts. Excellent lunch in their bistro ‘Au fils du temps’. Order pistachio cream profiterole if available!

Loved this very cute property in the very cure village of Brantome! Highly recommend a stay - staf and local are superb.
