OMO3 Kyoto Toji by Hoshino Resorts

Extremely close to Toji Temple, about a 15-minute walk to JR Kyoto Station, and about 5 minutes to Aeon Mall. There are convenience stores nearby, and izakayas and BBQ restaurants on the street behind the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The lobby has a 24-hour self-service shop, providing a place for guests to chill, eat, and drink! The only downside was a group of European and American travelers in the two rooms next door who left open umbrellas and strollers in the hallway for several nights. If an emergency were to occur, this could potentially obstruct safe evacuation.

The hotel facilities are limited, and most rooms face the road, resulting in considerable noise. Guests who are sensitive to noise and traffic sounds may not like it. The bathrooms are rather cramped and not very pleasant. It's a hotel with an eco-friendly concept, but if you stay two nights, there's no housekeeping service. You can request the hotel to clean your room, but they'll only change the towels. The location is acceptable; it's within walking distance of Dongsi Temple, and there's an AEON department store nearby, which is very convenient. You can decide for yourself whether it suits your needs.
