This has got to be the absolute worst hotel experience we've ever had, hands down!! HOT GARBAGE!! Do yourselves a favor and avoid this place at all costs!!! FYI, we stayed for a total of four nights. 1) Night 1: We booked a "Deluxe Double Room," but the room was so tiny it was basically a walk-in closet. We had just traveled for 24 hours straight to get to Rome and were desperate to get some sleep, but guess what? The hotel actually had a live DJ playing in the courtyard from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM!!! And right underneath our window, to boot!!! To top it all off, we heard this is apparently a regular weekday thing for them. To be fair though, the hotel did upgrade us that night to a suite away from the courtyard. 2) Night 2: At 8:30 PM, the front desk called us repeatedly to inform us that because a guest needed an accessible room, we would have to move back to our original courtyard-facing room for our last night. Fine, completely understandable reason, no problem at all. So, I told them that since that was the case, I wanted to check out the next morning and get a refund for the remaining two nights. And they flat out refused us!!! Their excuse was that all refund requests must be made 48 to 72 hours in advance. In other words, no matter how miserable your stay is or how terrible the experience, you're just **** out of luck and won't get a single penny back! 3) Night 4 (The last night): We moved back to that initial walk-in closet facing the courtyard, trying to get to sleep at 9:30 PM. And guess what happened?! The restaurant and bar down in the courtyard stayed open until 11:00 PM!!! I pushed my earplugs in so hard my head hurt, but I still couldn't block out the noise from downstairs. Closing my eyes, it honestly felt like I was sleeping right next to the strangers down there. Fair warning to everyone: All courtyard-facing rooms have terrible soundproofing issues!!! TLDR: 1. The so-called "Deluxe Double Room" is literally the size of a closet. 2. The hotel's layout is completely thoughtless, totally disregarding the sleep and comfort of guests in courtyard-facing rooms. 3. The customer service and way they handle issues are just abysmal!!! All in all, this is the worst hotel we've ever stayed at, and I strongly advise everyone to steer clear!!!
