Pension Ohno

Hotel is owned n run by an old lady who is vy it nd, warm n helpful. Location of hotel is fantastically good, just opposite to the Lake Toya. Can just cross the road n go to lake side to see the beautiful views of lake toya n walk around the lake with proper path. Scenary is so spectacular. It's vy windy n relaxed to be at the lake side But Hotel Pension is a bit away from the central area of Toya Onsen. So coming to check in to the hotel needs to follow the following instructions: From Toya Station , have to take a Donan bus to Toya onsen bus terminal. Then from toya onsen bus terminal, take Shinzan Mount Usu ropeway Donan bus, tell the driver to stop at Sobetsu Danchi bus stop. Bus stop is just opposite to hotel. Or if u don't mind walking, u can walk from Toya onsen bus terminal to Hotel Pension. It takes about 15- 18 minutes. Good to use n follow this method. Bus is by hourly basis. Anyway, there's a direct bus service to take from Toya JR station to hotel Pension (muroran nline), but bus service is not frequent, only available 4 times a day. Have booked hotel with breakfast. Vy good n yummy local Japanese food provided. Very worth the value. Hotel's restaurant has great view, just facing directly the Lake Toya. From hotel Pension, if hv enough time, it's great to visit mount Shinzan n mountain usu ropeway. It's near to hotel. There's bus service directly from hotel to mount usu ropeway. Need 3 to 4 hours to visit mount usu include bus journey.

Easy, fuss-free check-in. Friendly staff. Comes with onsen! The best part is the spaciousness of the room - it comes with a 2-seater, a 1-seater and 2 other wooden armchairs, a coffee-table! My room window opens up to Lake Toya (though view is slightly blocked by the power pole planted along the road). Can see a tiny bit of the fireworks if one stretches the head out of the window!

The old lady boss is very friendly. The onsen was a bit too small but it was clean. The view was beautiful. This is my 2nd time stay here. Breakfast is Japanese traditional breakfast so not suitable for me. But overall is good & comfortable staying there. Also plenty of free car park lots.

The hotel is in front of one of the eight views of Lake Toya, a very beautiful lake. There is no lift, so you have to carry your luggage to your room yourselves. They have a coffee and tea machine near the staircase where you can get it free of charge. We only wish that the soap and shampoo come in bottles and not small packets of one time use.

Hotel located just 2 minutes drive from the main street of TOYA waterfront, which there are shop and restaurants! Down sides of this hotel is just the wood floorings is too noisy when walking around!

Great room, very spacious and for a great price. The old lady owner is very welcoming and friendly, and the hotel was very clean and well taken care of. Had a free onsen as well.

Cosy, retro feels with good amenities (slippers, wifi, refrigerator etc, public coffee/hot water/tea machine), good value for money given the location. Beautiful garden with sakura trees. Also there's a seicomart next door, which is very convenient. Building is rather quaint and homely, which I prefer to the cookie cutter hotels closer to the commercial stretch of Lake Toya. There was a public bath that I was a little too intimidated/tired to use, but definitely check it out if it's your thing. Very friendly, nice staff who checked us in and out.

Problem only difficulties hving wifi. Bathroom without soap, only 2 tiny bar soap for shower n hand wash. Have to cash again while check in hotel. In fact, we hv paid full payment wen booked tis hotel. Pls transfer back the full amt we paid on 4 Feb 26 (S$253.44) to our UOB acc.
