Amazing experience with Léa & João. The accommodation is fantastic, as is their kindness. We also had João as our guide for the ascent (and descent) of Pico de Fogo. Everything was so easy and smooth. We hope to come back soon!

We booked two nights in one of the cottages and can highly recommend the place. The owners are very friendly, breakfast is served in the house, and they place great importance on environmental protection. Everything is perfectly organized. Even though the small town, where everything is still being rebuilt after the 2014 volcanic eruption, has a minimarket and a few simple, small but good restaurants where you can also have dinner. The perfect place to spend the night and unwind beneath the volcano.

The typical village house is pleasant, very clean, in the center of the village. The owners are very kind, welcoming and give good advice. 2 nights, it was perfect! Hearty breakfast. We can easily eat in the village, at Isabelle's, among others.

Perfect! I traveled alone, Léa was very available before my arrival and full of good advice for my stay in Fogo (thank you!). The funco is very comfortable (much more than I expected) with very comfortable bedding, hot water 🙂, set of towels and a magnificent view. On site, João was very helpful and ready to adapt to meet the needs it is with him that I climbed the volcano and it is a very enriching experience that I recommend. The place (off-center of São Filipe) is perfect to recharge your batteries and disconnect, just at the beginning of the path to the volcano (and other hikes)! I recommend it!

Prachtige locatie bij de vulkaan in een prachtig ingerichte kamer en een heerlijk (groot) bed. Het ontbijt werd 's ochtends op het gewenste tijdstip naar je kamer gebracht of de avond ervoor als je vroeg weg moet of vroeg wil gaan hiken. Dit was het beste ontbijt dat we in Kaapverdie gekregen hebben. Enige minpunt was de onstabiele warmwatervoorziening. Twee dagen zonder warm water was wel afzien.
