Hotel Nikko Bangkok

It was a mixed bag, really! The downside was that on our first day, we hit the jackpot with the annual maintenance. Power went out promptly at 11 AM, basically kicking us out of the hotel early. Even worse, that evening the shower water temperature was all over the place – freezing cold one moment, scalding hot the next. My back actually got red from the heat! Plus, the bathroom door wouldn't close properly. Might as well not have done any maintenance at all! The good news is the hotel handled it very promptly. After we complained, they immediately moved us to a new room, tested the water temperature beforehand, and even gave us complimentary access to the executive lounge. Their special 'Next Stop Thonglor' drink there is absolutely delicious, a must-try! As expected from a Japanese hotel, one detail really stuck with me: one day, I was walking past a room to get to the elevator and saw a pair of shoes outside the door. It turned out the housekeeping attendant was cleaning barefoot, actually kneeling on the floor to wipe! I was taken aback, and she noticed me at the same time. She immediately came out, put on her shoes, and bowed to greet me – I was surprised again! Apart from being a bit old and having some minor hardware issues, this hotel is genuinely faultless!

The room was very comfortable, and the transportation nearby was convenient. It was really pleasant to have a sauna after swimming. The service was excellent. On the day of check-out, there was a power line inspection, so the front desk staff kindly took me to the Nikko City Hotel across the street to dry my hair. The whole process was accompanied by a smiling service.

The front desk staff were very friendly and gave me a room right by the elevator, which was convenient for coming and going. They initially spoke to me in Japanese, and only switched to English when they realized I didn't understand, but their English was super fast! The location was also great; it was easy to find places to eat nearby, and convenient to get anywhere.

Thanks again for the wonderful stay! I'm probably a bit late to the party, but personally, I really appreciate the following about this place: * **Breakfast:** A great variety of options! * **Spacious Shower:** The shower space is a decent size and well-partitioned, making it very convenient to use. Unlike many places in Thailand where the bathroom floor, including the toilet area, often gets wet and inconvenient – that's definitely not an issue here (lol). * **Separate Toilet:** Having the toilet separate is a huge plus! The staff's service is absolutely excellent, and there are many other great points, but those are minor details. I'll definitely be back again!

This was my second stay here. While the area downstairs is a bit messy, its proximity to the BTS Skytrain, 7-Eleven, and a great mango sticky rice spot more than makes up for it. The breakfast was standard, and tasted fine. The bedding was comfortable and the building was quiet, definitely recommend it.

Breakfast was mediocre, with limited options and average quality. I spent ages looking for the bathroom curtain button, which is shown in photo 3 next to the vanity mirror. Overall, not great value for money.

This was my first trip to Thailand, and after looking at many hotels, I decided on the Hotel Nikko. I truly think it's great and I'll definitely book it again next time.

This is my second time staying here. I love the bathtub, the ambiance, the cleanliness, and the staff's service! It's delightful, and I'll definitely be back.
