Staying at Gulangyu Lijiazhuang Centennial Villa exceeded my expectations. The old house's red brick arches exude a sense of history, and the tranquil courtyard is elegantly charming, perfect for taking atmospheric photos. The butler met us at the pier and helped with our luggage, providing thoughtful and warm service. The breakfast and afternoon tea were exquisitely prepared. The location is quiet yet convenient, away from the hustle and bustle, allowing for an immersive experience of Gulangyu's slow pace. It's an incredibly pleasant choice for a vacation.

A very comfortable stay with a Minnan Nanyang (Southeast Asian) flair. We had a butler pick us us up and drop us off at the pier, and the garden was lush and green. The service was great, and I particularly loved the window in our room. I'd definitely stay here again next time.

If you're coming to Gulangyu, you absolutely must stay at least once at Lijiadiao Villa. This century-old Nanyang Chinese mansion, with its red brick arches, is steeped in the atmosphere of the Republic of China era. With only 14 guest rooms, the hotel dedicates more space to its beautiful courtyards and gardens. The butler pick-up service from the pier, and all the thoughtful details, make for a truly special experience. The facilities are top-notch. Nestled in a quiet spot away from the bustling tourist crowds, it offers an immersive journey into Gulangyu's old-world charm, making for an incredibly relaxing and serene getaway.

The hotel is centrally located on Gulangyu Island, about a ten-minute walk from the pier. Hotel staff will be waiting at the island's pier to help guests with their luggage, guide them to the hotel, and introduce attractions along the way. The hotel has preserved the original style and charm of its historic building, and the interior decoration is in a classic Nanyang style, which I really liked. The choice of materials and color palette made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The hotel's afternoon tea, souvenirs, and breakfast are also very distinctive, showing the service team's dedication. If you're coming to Gulangyu, I truly recommend staying overnight on the island so you can leisurely explore and enjoy the island's peaceful nights.

I stayed in the Yuyun room, which is their most classic room type, and it was absolutely stunning. I had read quite a few negative reviews and was a bit nervous, so I only booked one night initially. However, upon arrival, I was completely blown away by the hotel. It was truly amazing, so much so that I extended my stay for another night.

The hotel has a unique Nanyang (Southeast Asian) charm and design, and it's very quiet, perfect for relaxing or for families with children. The location is also great – not too far, nor too close to the popular districts. They also offer a shuttle and luggage service.

After days of searching, I finally found this hotel thanks to a recommendation from Xiaohongshu (it was ranked in the top three!). They offer a pick-up and drop-off service, with someone even helping with our luggage. The driver waited for us for over an hour. Once we arrived, the hotel service was excellent, and the room was very clean. We booked a suite with a small garden, and everything about it was great. Top-notch service!

The room was quiet and comfortable, and the service was warm – truly the standard of a luxury hotel. Both breakfast and afternoon tea were exquisite and unique. The affiliated Ersancong Teahouse and Lin Sixi Restaurant also maintained high quality. My two-day leisure trip to Gulangyu was made wonderful and comfortable because of this hotel.
