Wake in the Sea Homestay (Laoshan)

The hotel's location and views are unbeatable. The service is also excellent; they helped us with our luggage even when we arrived late at night, registered us for park entry, and moved our car for slow charging. It's very pet-friendly, and our experience with our dog was perfect.

The hotel's location is superb, easily one of the best homestays in Laoshan. It's a popular spot for many beautiful ladies to take photos. We watched the sunrise from our room, and even saw the moon rising over the sea at night. The staff at the front desk were all very enthusiastic and helped us with transportation during the holiday rush, avoiding traffic jams at the scenic spots. You can also have your own seafood processed here! Thanks to the hotel for such a wonderful holiday experience.

During the National Day holiday, I was incredibly lucky to book the terrace room at the 'Awakening in the Sea' guesthouse, a popular spot in Laoshan. It's definitely the top guesthouse in the area. 1. Its stunning cliffside location, right by the coastline, truly makes you feel like you're waking up in the sea. 2. The public areas are well-designed with fantastic sea views. I ordered lattes twice, enjoying the vast ocean view from a comfortable sofa with the AC on. It's actually cheaper to order coffee here than at their own coffee shop. 3. The terrace room I booked was well-designed and very new. It came with a complimentary minibar, including sparkling water. The private small terrace allowed me to enjoy the sea view anytime, anywhere. 4. Breakfast is a set menu: a bowl of sea cucumber noodles, and a Western breakfast plate including bread, scrambled eggs, salad, sausage, and fruit. For drinks, you can choose one from Americano, juice, or milk; I suggest adding a latte option. For lunch, they offer home-style dishes like stir-fries, Maoxuewang (bloody duck curd), chicken wings, and stir-fried tomatoes with eggs. Western options like pizza were not available, I heard the chef was on vacation. 5. The hotel also offers three free travel photos. Of course, after the photoshoot, you won't just pick three; any additional photos cost 50 RMB each.

Beyond a five-star rating! The guesthouse is impeccably equipped, providing a truly comfortable stay. The decor showcases excellent taste, with minimalist yet tasteful soft furnishings and arrangements. Coffee can be delivered to the room; it's not cheap, but it's delicious (approved by the whole family). Breakfast was to our liking, and the stir-fried dinner dishes were also quite good – worth trying if you're too lazy to go out. The large terrace in room 205 is fantastic, with two sea-facing spots perfect for unwinding, but it gets incredibly sunny. Perhaps a retractable and adjustable sun umbrella could be added? Also, the bathroom door in the room creaks a bit, which is particularly noticeable when using the restroom at night. These minor flaws don't detract from the overall excellent experience. I'd love to stay for a whole week next time I get the chance.

A hidden gem of a hotel with absolutely stunning views and impeccable service from the staff.

So lucky to have booked this B&B! The location offers incredible sea views, the facilities are brand new, the room diffusers smell lovely, and the mattress is comfortable. It has a Southern French vibe, and all the staff are young, friendly guys and girls. The service is very attentive; on the day we left, it was raining, and they waited with us for our ride, getting soaked themselves. Highly recommended!

I didn't expect the views at this boutique guesthouse in Laoshan to be even more stunning in person than they were online. It truly felt like "waking up in the sea"! The room smelled wonderful, and the breakfast was excellent. I'll definitely be back!

You absolutely have to stay a night... The sunrise the next morning was absolutely breathtaking... So worth it.

The room view was fantastic, and it was very clean! The staff were warm and professional. I didn't even want to leave the hotel, though there were a bit too many outside visitors, which affected the stay experience. The food prepared by the restaurant auntie was delicious.
