Americas Best Value Inn Stonington-Mystic

Water in shower was cold. Front door was cracked in several places from what look like an attempted break in prior. Door was an old fashioned key which was not secure in anyway. Room initially didn’t look to bad. When I checked in I mentioned I had a dog with the staff. They charged me an extra the next day upon checking out which was never mentioned when checking in. Poor management skills but cheaper option in the area

Room was clean and warm. Staff cleaned my room well and brought fresh towels daily. Would Stay there again

We needed a room for one night and very little was available in the area - we were pleasantly surprised by the large, clean room with microwave and fridge, 2 large mattresses and plenty of storage space. Beds were OK, the place was not beautiful but practical, and check-in guy was helpful. Nice location, easy access to Foxwoods, Stonington and Mystic. Saved us a lot of money, very well worth the price.

Didn’t clean before I went into room. Empty nip bottles. No amenties dirty room

The place is clean but very basic no night light bathroom is very small and the night we stayed there Tv wasn’t working the soap that they give you is like 2 in big. I had to go out and buy a ROKo stick so we could have something to do and watch TV. I feel that I should get some sort of a rebate because i wasn’t very happy about to go buy that just to watch tv because there was nothing else to do.

Not sure how they're still in business From arrival to departure the service was poor to nonexistent. We were greeted as if we were an interuption. The room smelled musty. The walls are thin so you hear EVERYTHING thats going on in the next room over. The water faucets are all backwards, hot is cold, cold is hot. Microwave was dirty and gross. The bathroom door didn't close, hinge was broken. Towels were like drying off with an old rag. The heater / air unit is VERY loud. The bedding (or lack there of) was flimsy and not comfortable at all. The stairs to the upper unit are ridiculous and can't be up to code. Definitely will not be staying there again.

Excellent location for local wedding venues. Clean room. Bathrooms are small. Solid 3 star.

Ad did not say there would be a $35 charge for a pet. Stairwell lightbulb was burned out. Emergency exit door broken. Non existent housekeeping. Would not stay there again.

The room was ok but the staff didnt speak a lick of English and they rent out rooms to locals that caused problems/lots of noise--wont be going back there!!
