Crystal Bay Yacht Club Beach Resort

We were very disappointed with our experience at this hotel. We don't usually leave bad reviews, but this time we couldn't do otherwise. The only positive point was the kindness and dedication of the staff. Otherwise, it really didn't live up to the various descriptions! To begin with, we booked a hotel with a pool, but no one informed us that it would be closed for renovations throughout our stay! This is really unacceptable because I would never have booked without a pool; we could have canceled and booked elsewhere! We had booked a luxury room which was anything but luxurious, and it was kindly changed for us. Unfortunately, there was a lot of construction going on, so the noise of drills and sanders was constant from the morning. The beach and the area around the hotel were very dirty, with various plastics, bottles, and aerosol cans—it didn't make you want to sit down or swim there. On the fourth day, in the morning, there was a mini-cleanup of a few meters of sand, with a hole dug in the sand to bury aerosol waste. Absolutely horrific! This beach, which could be so beautiful... I won't even mention the minor issues and flaws with the luxury villa on the last night, including three power outages in a single evening. A truly terrible stay at this hotel, where the filth on a beach that should be magnificent is beyond belief.

This place could be magnificent, but unfortunately the hotel doesn't clean the areas around the apartments at all and lets its section of the beach become an open-air garbage dump! A real shame.

Beautiful grounds, quiet! Loved the breakfast (choice of Thai and English)! Beautiful beach. Rooms have a kettle and refrigerator! Towels are changed daily. Beach towels are provided.

We were in this hotel in March 2025 and in 2012, since then the hotel has become dilapidated, although repairs have been made and even reconstruction (previously the bath and shower with toilet were in the open air, now classic rooms). For convenience, there is not enough closet (instead of a closet, a rod with hangers) there are no chairs or shelves to put things. We asked for additional chairs, we put children's things and ours on them. The bathroom is also ascetic, one hook and a shelf above the sink. Of the minuses, that's all, otherwise everything is fine - the sea, the beach, the pool and the restaurant at the hotel. The staff is friendly, moderately responsive. There is a bike rental, but a representative of the rental office arrives, no discounts on the deposit for hotel guests are provided (passport or money are required, only the deposit is kept at the reception). Within walking distance there are a couple of exchange offices, 7/11 and several cafes. A monitor lizard lives near the pool. Once a week on Fridays there is a fire show on the beach. WiFi works in the room, at the reception and in the restaurant.
