We are a family of 6 (2 adults. 4 children aged 17-12) from Australia. After much research I booked to stay at Arca during our visit to Lake Garda. We really wanted a peaceful, country feel with the amenities of a hotel and also be a walkable location. Arca met those expectations completely. Our apartment was big enough, with 2 bedrooms plus a sofa that converted into 2 single beds. The apartment stayed cool during the day and evening despite the warm weather. It had a functional kitchen and a full sized fridge. We loved the front alfresco overlooking the pool and the lake, very scenic and relaxing. It was a 20-25 minute walk into Bardolino or Garda, but for either you are walking down the hill and then back up for return, which we liked for the exercise - but does mean a quick walk into town for groceries can be a little arduous. The onsite restaurant is excellent for family dining and is really well priced with fabulous views over the lake and at sunset. The apartment was clean and beds were made. There is also onsite bike hire and a laundry. The grounds are beautiful with lots of olive trees and greenery. Can highly recommend if you want to experience the country feel of Garda but still be close enough to the towns and walkable to the lake.
