Quality Inn & Suites Lake Charles South

The room was very dingy. When we checked in, I asked about breakfast and the pool. He said that they didn’t do breakfast anymore and the pool was closed for renovations. He said that’s why they had a sign that said “breakfast and pool closed”. But that’s all it said which made me think it was just for the day. I was pretty bummed because those are why I booked this hotel to begin with.

They advertised the hotel as having a pool and breakfast, but when we arrived, they had neither. There were no large towels in the room; we had to dry ourselves with small towels because we didn't notice until after we had finished showering. Furthermore, the room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke.

I booked a one-bedroom king room, but upon arrival I was told none were available and was given a room with two queen beds at the same price. The room had multiple serious issues: The toilet would not hold water, making it unusable. The bathroom door was broken Lamp stands were broken and the room phones didn’t work. The window had no privacy or security curtain, allowing anyone outside to see in. There was exposed wiring where a smoke alarm should have been, which felt unsafe We had no choice but to stay the night. The next morning, we checked out of the room and were told we would be moved. When we returned later that evening, the new room had no towels or trash cans, and we had to go downstairs to request them their phones don't work. This stay was extremely disappointing and did not meet basic standards of safety, privacy, or service.

Not queen size beds. Full only. No breakfast served. No towels in rooms have to go ask for them. Walls and floors dirty.

The room has well over a dozen holes in the wall. When I asked about the advertised free breakfast, I was told “Oh, I don’t think we are doing that today”… on a Saturday. Will never return.

The hotel is falling apart. There are workers there fixing it but some of the rooms, they shouldn't allow people in .. we had a room on the second floor with the floor in several weak spots... We then got put on the third floor where there is clear water damage and not very clean. Also there's no breakfast or pool and there hasn't been for quite some time.

On ******* it was advertised to have breakfast and pool. Completed my check in when daughter read the sign about no pool nor breakfast. When checked in, staff did not verbally state there was no pool nor breakfast. When I said something about false advert, staff stated it was too much work to get it back on ******* once they were removed. Did not ask if I still wanted to check in. Once we were in the room, decided to stay the 1 night and go somewhere else. Also, staff should undersatnd that we - the guests - do NOT want to hear how your employer kicked you out and that you do not have a way to work. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Now I have to figure out how to get my $$$ back for the 2 nights we did not stay!!

First room would not open 2nd room had, bad tv, bad ac, bad phone The property looks like it was nice 5-10 years a ago, but no money has been spent on it since then.

This place is terrible worse hotel I've ever stayed at. The room was just nasty. Hair on the floor in the bathroom and the hotel smells horrible. The staff was nice that was the only good thing about this dump.
