Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen - Adults Only - All Inclusive

1. First off, the food generally suited my taste! I think Ziva's food is a bit more mainstream. While the dinner at Secrets Moxché might be a bit more special than Ziva's, their breakfast, lunch, and other regular meals were just so-so. 2. The staff were friendly and gave a good impression of being well-managed. It's not that Moxché's staff were unfriendly, but the Hyatt Ziva staff were exceptionally kind and memorable. 3. View: I heard that the standard grade rooms at Secrets Moxché have a tropical view, but mine had a parking lot view... To be honest, I was a bit disappointed by that. The view at Hyatt Ziva was perfect. 4. Secrets Moxché's building is supposedly new, but there was a musty smell in the room, and outside, the seaweed caused a strong fishy odor from the sea. Hyatt Ziva, on the other hand, had perfect room condition and cleanliness. Even for the overall pool condition, while Secrets Moxché's design is new and pretty, Ziva seemed better in terms of water cleanliness and maintenance. 5. Ziva has more of a city feel, so it feels quite open, whereas Secrets Moxché has a completely natural feel, which can feel a bit stifling at times! Of course, it wasn't to the point of being unsatisfactory; Ziva was just really good~~

I stayed at Impression 25 years ago (the VIP building), and this year I went to Secrets (the regular building). The difference is significant, so I strongly advise everyone to choose Impression whenever possible. First, the rooms are vastly different – ​​one is 88 square meters, the other is only around 50 square meters. The room environment is also very different, and the locations are quite different. Plus, Impression has two exclusive restaurants, and especially now that several restaurants require reservations, I clearly felt that Impression had priority and could contact the butler for reservations, which Secrets lacked. Despite these differences, I still highly recommend this hotel. The food is still delicious, and the service is still excellent. Of course, it can't compare to the Impression on Isla Mujeres (yes, I also went to the Impression on Isla Mujeres), where there were more staff than guests, so it's incomparable. The food is better than the Isla Mujeres branch, although not as good as last year. I remember going to Sea Soul for fresh seafood; the best dish was the salmon at the Japanese restaurant – I asked the waiter for more three times, it was truly delicious, but that's a matter of luck. Overall, compared to the one on Isla Mujeres, it's great except for the scenery. I'm referring to the Impression, not the Secrets. There are shows to watch in the evenings. It's a great place to stay for three or four days, hehe.

There were lots of pools and events, so there was plenty to do and enjoy at the facility. The food was also delicious, and there were many options for dinner, allowing us to enjoy a variety of dishes.

The hotel was packed, everyone was incredibly busy, and check-in wasn't possible even by 3 PM. No one was pushing timeshare packages that included spa treatments. The cleanliness was so-so; there was hair in the toilet bowl, and the drains smelled slightly. We waited over two hours for biso (a type of Japanese restaurant) in the evening, and the entire hotel was swarming with mosquitoes. I got bitten 12 times while eating outdoors. All the restaurants, except for the barbecue which was freshly grilled, seemed to be centrally kitchened. The international cuisine all had the same chef's style, and the seafood tasted frozen and wasn't of high quality. The beach was better than expected, and the rooftop pool was excellent, even better than the pool at Impression. I was very satisfied.

Quite disappointing. It's not as good as Xcaret. The room was damp and smelled bad, and no one cleaned it during my stay. The room service had limited options and the food was unappetizing. The hotel restaurants were inconsistent in quality, and you could easily end up with a bad experience.

It was a very comfortable trip with my wife. The sea view room had a nice view, but the room size was a bit smaller than the standard room. Overall, it was very nice, but there were long queues for restaurants. If I have the chance, I would probably come back again.
