Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen - Adults Only - All Inclusive

I stayed at Impression 25 years ago (the VIP building), and this year I went to Secrets (the regular building). The difference is significant, so I strongly advise everyone to choose Impression whenever possible. First, the rooms are vastly different – ​​one is 88 square meters, the other is only around 50 square meters. The room environment is also very different, and the locations are quite different. Plus, Impression has two exclusive restaurants, and especially now that several restaurants require reservations, I clearly felt that Impression had priority and could contact the butler for reservations, which Secrets lacked. Despite these differences, I still highly recommend this hotel. The food is still delicious, and the service is still excellent. Of course, it can't compare to the Impression on Isla Mujeres (yes, I also went to the Impression on Isla Mujeres), where there were more staff than guests, so it's incomparable. The food is better than the Isla Mujeres branch, although not as good as last year. I remember going to Sea Soul for fresh seafood; the best dish was the salmon at the Japanese restaurant – I asked the waiter for more three times, it was truly delicious, but that's a matter of luck. Overall, compared to the one on Isla Mujeres, it's great except for the scenery. I'm referring to the Impression, not the Secrets. There are shows to watch in the evenings. It's a great place to stay for three or four days, hehe.

There were lots of pools and events, so there was plenty to do and enjoy at the facility. The food was also delicious, and there were many options for dinner, allowing us to enjoy a variety of dishes.

The hotel was packed, everyone was incredibly busy, and check-in wasn't possible even by 3 PM. No one was pushing timeshare packages that included spa treatments. The cleanliness was so-so; there was hair in the toilet bowl, and the drains smelled slightly. We waited over two hours for biso (a type of Japanese restaurant) in the evening, and the entire hotel was swarming with mosquitoes. I got bitten 12 times while eating outdoors. All the restaurants, except for the barbecue which was freshly grilled, seemed to be centrally kitchened. The international cuisine all had the same chef's style, and the seafood tasted frozen and wasn't of high quality. The beach was better than expected, and the rooftop pool was excellent, even better than the pool at Impression. I was very satisfied.

Quite disappointing. It's not as good as Xcaret. The room was damp and smelled bad, and no one cleaned it during my stay. The room service had limited options and the food was unappetizing. The hotel restaurants were inconsistent in quality, and you could easily end up with a bad experience.

It was a very comfortable trip with my wife. The sea view room had a nice view, but the room size was a bit smaller than the standard room. Overall, it was very nice, but there were long queues for restaurants. If I have the chance, I would probably come back again.

The room cleanliness was okay, but honestly, only one restaurant was good; the rest were terrible! The facilities were also outdated, beach management was poor, and the beach environment was unpleasant. I highly do not recommend it; for the same price, you can stay elsewhere.

The room is spacious and well-equipped. Hello: I was assigned a room at the very edge ~ it was inconvenient to get in and out (was it because I booked it through the OTC Ctrip platform? A bit discriminatory? Or because we are Asian?) ~ I hope Ctrip will follow up and find out more!
