VE Hotel & Residence

The Wi-Fi was incredibly slow; I could barely open a webpage at night. There were only two power outlets in the entire room, as shown in the picture, so I couldn't even plug in the kettle. The soap was provided without a dish, so once opened, it would leave a watery mess all over the floor, making the bathroom slippery and a fall hazard. The sink was also too shallow. The hotel is located right next to a main road, and even on a high floor, it was noisy 24/7.

The location is very convenient, with plenty of dining options nearby. There are three sky bridges connected, and it's very close to our company, just a short walk away. Taxis are also easy to hail. I'd definitely consider staying here again if I have the chance.

Pros: The environment is great, the room is very spacious, and there's absolutely no noise from the high-rise. The bathroom is clean with good water pressure. The gym has a lot of equipment and is large. The swimming pool is also big, and breakfast is excellent. The public areas look very upscale. Cons: The facilities are relatively old. The air conditioning is quite noisy when it reacts. The chain lock on the door is missing, and the door closes very slowly, slow enough for someone to slip in after you leave. The toilet is manual flush. There were a lot of guests, so they didn't allow a late checkout. No slippers were provided. If you bring your own water bottle, there's a direct drinking water tap, though I didn't dare to drink from it.
