Hutong Courtyard Beijing

Very good location, very pitoresque and in a lovely part of the Hutong. Loads of food places and stores in the neighbourhood. Very charming hotel with charming and modern rooms. (Very Beijing-style, we liked the colours, paintings and Chinese lights). Good beds. Everything was very clean (except under the beds). They offer to clean every day if you want to. We have used the washer once which was nice. Also was a fridge and kettle in the room. Very sweet staff and willing to help with whatever. Also offered free coffee or tea in the lobby. Nice hotel lobby where you could sit down in the tearoom or upstairs on the veranda. Only downside was that the room was a bit skinny and the bathroom was not very conveniently sized. Maybe they could hang a shower curtain. It had a modern (Japanese) toilet though which was very nice. If I would go to Beijing again, I’d definitely choose this hotel. Very sweet staff that seem to be very hardworking. I’d give it a 4.5/5.
