AHG Atlas Hotel Taksim

This is my second time staying at this hotel. The rooms are cozy and small, everything is clean and modern. There's no breakfast, but they'll brew coffee at the reception, and there's a coffee machine available. It's about an 8-10 minute walk to Taksim Square, which is very convenient if you know the way. I'd like to specially mention Kerim, an excellent staff member who is friendly and loyal to guests.

A bit far from Taksim Square, but very quiet and clean. The room with a city view is absolutely beautiful.

Firstly, the male front desk staff had a very poor and arrogant attitude, and was extremely impatient. After reading other reviews, I realized many people experienced the same. Secondly, the location is mediocre. The entrance is surrounded by narrow alleyways, and you have to go through many of them to reach the main street, which doesn't feel very safe. There are always people trying to talk to you in the alleys. I wouldn't recommend this place for female travelers. Plus, all the roads are very steep, and it takes over 10 minutes to walk to the city center.

The place was really bad. The room I booked was underground, like a basement, with no windows. There was glass overhead, covered, which allowed some sunlight in. However, the inside of the room was very clean, and the towels were also clean and smelled nice.

Everything was great – clean, and the room had water, tea, and coffee. The staff were friendly :)

We were assigned a room facing the road, which felt a bit like a basement room, but we only stayed for one night, so it was comfortable enough for us.
