Land's End Resort

The view from my room faces the ocean but the location at the end of Homer Spit isn’t exactly the best place to be because it takes 15mins walk to get to the centre where eateries, shops and ferries are located especially if you’re like me having to carry camera equipment. Taxi services tend to be slow at peak hours. Housekeeping is not efficient and needs to be reminded despite hanging the card out. Cups are not washed and bed is not made unless the card in the room(no card was placed in my room)is completed which was the excuse they gave. This happened for 5x out of my 9 nights where the other 4, I opted for no disturbance . Breakfast is buffet style but limited selection. My stay was over 9 nights. I have to return for another 3 nights on organised tour group. I informed receptionist upon checkout to put me in the same room. The answer is NO. The level of service at front desk and housekeeping needs improvement except for a special lady, Lena who is exceptionally friendly and helpful. All in all, there is no value for money.

Lands End Resort is always an amazing experience being at the end of the spit in Homer Alaska. My husband traveled this time and was pleased with the room, service and restaurant.

If you're going to Homer stay on the Spit and then make sure you stay at Land's End. The ocean view room we booked had a bedroom with a sitting room off the back. The small balcony was great for fresh air and the window seat was a great place to sit and read. Very clean. Hot shower with great water pressure. Hair dryer provided.

Rooms were awesome….staff was very good…..the property on the beach side needed some attention…. When we went out the back ( beach side) the weeds needed some attention….couldn’t sit in the chairs directly behind our room…..weeds everywhere

Lovely location right at the end. Very helpful staff. Hot tub right on the beach. Delicious restaurant. Great parking. The only downside was the size of the room and the bed was small. I still give 5 stars.

Beautiful location. Our room was not ready at check-in. Told us it would be @ 15 minutes. We had to wait an hour. Hostess in restaurant was quite rude two nights in a row. We weren’t able to eat at restaurant because they had a large group of 20 so they shut down kitchen early, even though we were guests of the lodge. I think they are short of staff. Very disappointed.

The location is great. Right on water. Hot tub is outside but overlooking the water. They were doing some work around the outside of property. I would highly recommend this place. But make reservation to use hot tub or pool

We loved our stay here. It is all about the beachfront location. We had a slider that opened onto the beach and two chairs to enjoy the incredible view. Staff was helpful and friendly. The only regret was that only 1 night was available. This was a truly unique stay and I hope to return.

Be careful about whether they put you in the hotel or one of the buildings they don't even own.
