The hotel stay was great; it's a resort perfect for those looking to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. In the afternoons, they play light music, and in the evenings, soft music near the restaurant and in the lobby. The resort facilities are very clean, and the service is excellent, with lots of thoughtful touches.

The hotel was formed when the Hilton La Romana was split a couple of years ago. Secrets became an adults-only hotel. It underwent some cosmetic renovations, but it's fine for a beach hotel. The food is fine, except for the coffee. The coffee is very bad. The beach is excellent, although the water is shallow, but there's no sargassum seaweed (a big problem in the Dominican Republic).

The beach is beautiful. The food was ok, but there were lots of flies around the buffet at times. The quality of the Dominican Salami and cheese were not good. Dominican food option weren’t as tasty as expected unfortunately. Overall it was a nice stay.

The room was dated but nice, all the staff was helpful and friendly, pools looked great and fun, beach was beautiful but short! I would have liked to see staff clean up previously occupied areas at the beach. Food in the buffet was very good. We got to try a couple of restaurants and they were decent. The grounds are beautiful and the fitness center was nice with lots of equipment!

Terrible liquor selection, bars were not stocked up and there was nothing available. Bartenders were extremely slow and most didn’t know how to make anything. Beverage manager needs to be replaced with someone with more knowledge and do better job hiring bar staff. For was good but inconsistent. Rooms were kept clean at all hours. This resort is at an awesome location and has the potential to be great. Paying extra to be prefer did not see any difference from prefer to regular, buffet was better than most prefer restaurants.

We had an amazing stay at Secrets La Romana Resort & Spa. The staff was wonderful, the cleanliness was top tier, and the entire property was beautifully maintained. The spa was absolutely incredible and one of the highlights of our trip. The food was great, there were plenty of amenities to enjoy, and the water park was such a fun bonus. Overall, a beautiful resort with excellent service, and we would definitely come back.

I would return to this resort. It is by far the best all-inclusive experience. We enjoyed the entertainment, the beach party, the various restaurants and the service we received as preferred members.
