UH Suite the Gangnam

We chose this accommodation for college students attending our event, and we were very happy with the capacity for the price. Plus, the facilities were extremely clean and the spacious living room was a definite plus. My only minor complaint, if you can even call it that, is that it was *so* clean that we felt a bit pressured when eating or using the facilities – which I guess could actually be a compliment! And most importantly, the accessibility to Gangnam Station is excellent.

I booked this place for a birthday party, and the jacuzzi was even bigger than in the pictures, and the room was spacious too! It was fantastic~~~ I'll definitely visit again, haha!

The room is super spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is very convenient, especially for larger groups. It's in a great location with plenty of food options nearby. Nari at the front desk was lovely; she gave us some snacks and allowed us to check in early. They even had an air freshener in the room and offer free laundry service.

Nari was incredibly warm and patient. The hotel is in the heart of Gangnam, and the environment is very clean and pleasant. Highly recommend staying here.

The hotel room was clean, well-laid out, and the bedding was spotless. There was only one shower, but thankfully two toilets. The absolute best part was the abundance of food options around the hotel. Plenty of coffee shops downstairs, plus barbecue restaurants, soup restaurants, and gamjatang (pork bone soup) – it was fantastic! Before checking in, I was a bit worried about negative reviews, but honestly, I couldn't find a single thing to complain about. If I had to nitpick, it would be the front desk's response time. Maybe I shouldn't expect 'Chinese speed' in Korea, but I do hope their response times improve in the future! (Photos of the food downstairs at the hotel were provided below.)

Hotel: UH Suite Service: The front desk service was friendly, and we could store our luggage for free. Facilities: The in-room facilities and equipment were generally good (2 refrigerators, microwave, oven, utensils, pots and pans, etc.). Environment: The room was clean and tidy. Location: There are many restaurants and shops nearby, and it's only about a 5-10 minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 4. Disadvantages: The total room rate for our two-night stay was 1.65 million Korean Won, but the overall experience was not very good. The air conditioning in the common area wasn't working from the moment we checked in, making the whole place stuffy. When we reported it, we were told it would take two days to fix, so they asked us to open the windows. However, once the windows were open, the noise from the street poured in, severely affecting our stay. We requested compensation from the hotel, but the compensation options they offered were either unnecessary or unacceptable to us (airport transfer, bath bombs, another airport transfer, 80,000 KRW refund for two nights...). We asked the hotel for a refund of at least 160,000 KRW (for two nights), but they refused and told us to handle it with the booking platform ourselves. Finally, we contacted Trip.com for assistance. The hotel initially offered to compensate 10% of the total room rate and asked if we would accept. We agreed, but the very next day, Trip.com informed us that the hotel had changed its mind. Such indecisiveness from the hotel was truly baffling! Thank you, Trip.com, for your help in resolving this. If these issues hadn't occurred, I would say the quality of this accommodation is acceptable. Perhaps we were just unlucky to encounter these specific problems this time around. 😅
