Room was spacious, clean and well-furnished with an enormous, comfortable bed. Cooking facilities covered everything you needed. (It would be worth highlighting this on the website as we took cutlery and crockery with us first time we stayed.) Lighting - underestimated in many hotels - was bright and varied. Leisure facilities brilliant - the pool is a good size and sauna,  hot tub and gym facilities are fantastic. Great location - peaceful and very attractive but near enough to Lancaster, Morecambe and other places to visit if required. The bar and lounge are terrific, with a very good selection of meals and, on the nights we were there, a fabulous pianist who took requests from all ages. Lovely, helpful, friendly staff. An excellent experience across all categories!

Hotel was beautiful. Great for families. Beautiful sunset view from window. The bathroom was basic, felt like a premiere inn. We got charged for towels which was disappointing.

Absolutely fabulous weekend break set in beautiful surroundings, peaceful and we loved the wildlife. The staff were friendly and very informative and available for anything we needed. The food was lovely and everything very reasonably priced. We will definitely be booking another stay.

Lovely stay in a beautiful apartment for 4. Very well equipped however a microwave would be useful. Found it very strange that the restaurant was closed on a very busy week (it was sold out)  in the middle of Summer!

Self catering studio set in beautiful grounds was perfect for our 2 night stay. We really enjoyed the wine tasting evening with Alberto and the History of the Hall talk with John. Only marked down on amenities because the restaurant and bar were closed , due to the owners being on holiday and we weren't made aware this at time of booking.

We had a wonderful 4 nights at Thurnham Hall. The person who checked us in on the Sunday was very pleasant and welcoming. We walked the grounds and they were lovely and very well looked after.The Spa and pool were excellent. Thank you for providing such a lovely hotel for us to stay at and spend time visiting with our Lancashire relatives.
