Zhejiang Hotel

Transportation: The hotel is right outside Exit D of Fengqi Road Station, but there's a catch: this exit doesn't have an escalator or elevator going down. If you're traveling with elderly people, you might want to consider this. It's also a bit of a distance from West Lake; it takes at least 15 minutes to walk to the lakeside. Service: The front desk staff were warm and attentive. I had booked two rooms, and it seemed they were different room types. The front desk proactively upgraded our rooms and put us on the same floor. However, there are often people from other travel agencies in the hotel lobby. Most guests can't tell the difference and mistake them for hotel staff, leading to them being pitched various tours. I'd advise against booking a car here. The further you walk towards West Lake, the lower the price for a hired car will become. Plus, West Lake itself has official, convenient public buses and sightseeing vehicles. Facilities: The facilities are really outdated. I honestly don't think it meets a four-star standard. The room had a strong musty smell, which was quite unpleasant for someone like me who is sensitive to odors. The breakfast, however, was good, with both Chinese and Western options, and quite suitable for older people. My parents enjoyed it a lot. Considering all factors, if you have a generous budget and are traveling with seniors or children, I recommend choosing one of the chain star-rated hotels closer to West Lake. If your budget is limited and everyone in your group is in good health, you can opt for a hotel further from West Lake but with convenient transportation. At the same price point, you can likely find a hotel with better standards.

This is a classic five-star hotel with all the standard amenities. Parking was a bit tight, but the hotel offered valet service which was great. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Since it's an older hotel, you shouldn't expect ultra-modern surroundings, but overall I was very satisfied. They even have a robot for food delivery. There's a night market nearby, and a subway station and convenience store right next to the hotel.

This is an established four-star hotel, and it still maintains its quality. Although the facilities are a bit old, it's very clean and the service is excellent. The location is superb, making it very convenient to walk to Wulin Night Market, the Broken Bridge on West Lake, and Baoshi Mountain. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. The breakfast was quite rich. Traveling with elderly parents, we were very satisfied and would definitely stay here again.

This place is so dirty, how can anyone stay here? The male staff at the front desk had an absolutely terrible attitude. No need to point out which one... both the one who checked me in and the one I asked about check-out times seemed like they'd never had any service training. Just awful. The female staff I encountered were all pretty good though. Also, early in the morning, housekeeping just swiped their card and walked right into my room. That's just ridiculous. What kind of hotel is this? I've never stayed in such a dump before.

Although it's an older hotel, the hygiene is excellent. You really can't beat an established brand. The breakfast was fantastic, with a great variety. On the day I checked in, it was pouring rain, and the porter at the entrance helped me find a covered parking spot, which I really appreciated. I forgot the first porter's name, but the next day, when I checked out, Mr. Qian, the driver, was also very good and helped me out.

The hotel is right by West Lake, and you can see Broken Bridge from the window. Downstairs is Metro Line 1. You can walk to Broken Bridge, and there's a night market to explore in the evenings. The room was very quiet, and breakfast was plentiful. The Dongpo pork at the hotel restaurant was also excellent. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hangzhou.

Extremely satisfied! This will definitely be my top choice for future visits. The service is excellent, and the location is very convenient for getting around. Extremely convenient location, right outside Fengqi Road subway station. The hygiene was good. Although the decor is a bit dated, it was clean and well-maintained. The breakfast spread was abundant, and they even offered complimentary sour plum juice to go. During the sweltering Hangzhou summer, we stayed in the hotel playing games. The only issue was the unstable Wi-Fi and the TV constantly buffering.
