This is a family owned boutique hotel with about 16 rooms. Family is super friendly and will help with everything, where to go etc. It is quaint and super quiet and clean! Right on the ocean and outside of the Hotel zona. The fresh cooked hot breakfast is included and is AMAZING. There are no real sidewalks outside the hotel and it’s a bit outside the busy part of town; so you need to Uber into town or to the grocery store (La Comer is brand new and amazing food selection and is 6 min car ride). Rooms come w small fridge and MW. You can walk to beach restaurants on both sides of the hotel along the beach, food is delish! There are swim beaches about a 5 min uber ride- but out front is mostly for surfing. This is a super quiet chill hotel. If you want more action or people go to the bigger resorts. We found it relaxing here!

Our five days at Casa Costa Azul were so deeply relaxing that leaving was genuinely difficult. This family-run boutique hotel is a true hidden gem—one we were lucky to discover while searching for a peaceful place to stay in Cabo during a family wedding. From breathtaking sunrises and sunsets on a quiet stretch of beach to the wonderful coffee and made-to-order breakfasts each morning, every detail felt thoughtful and unhurried. The owners make you feel instantly at home, sharing beautiful stories of how they came to this surfers’ paradise from a young age. I found myself looking forward to each new chapter of their story over breakfast every morning. It had been a long time since I felt so completely relaxed. Adding to the charm are the animals who wandered onto the property and never left—welcomed and cared for thanks to our host Kristina’s deep love for animals and nature. They, too, have become part of this special family. If you’re seeking a true getaway—far from the mega-resorts and closer to a simpler, more meaningful way of life—on an exceptional piece of paradise, look no further than Casa Costa Azul.

Stayed one night at this hotel in March with my partner. Was scheduled for 8 nights, but after night one, realized the entire resort shuts down at 7pm. Checked out the next day, got a receipt of partial refun yet my credit card has STILL not been credited back the money 4 months later! Complete nightmare dealing with these people who lie and do not deliver on their promises nor their obligations. A complete joke. Oh, and they are not located near ANYTHING.

My wife and I had an incredible stay at Casa Costa Azul, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The hotel has a calm, intimate feel that made it easy to slow down and truly enjoy our time in San José del Cabo. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and waking up to the view each morning was something we’ll never forget. The bed was extremely comfortable, and every detail from the décor to the linens to made the space feel special and inviting. We loved spending time by the beachfront both of which felt peaceful and never crowded. Watching surfers in the morning and sunsets in the evening became part of our daily routine and were some of our favorite moments of the trip. NYE Fireworks were amazing. What truly set Casa Costa Azul apart was the staff. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, making us feel welcomed from start to finish. Their local recommendations and willingness to help with anything made our stay effortless. They even found us a rental car for a day amidst the chaos of Holiday Week. Casa Costa Azul is a hidden gem. We came seeking old school Cabo and found it. Quiet, stylish, and perfectly located away from the larger resorts. It was the perfect place for us to relax and reconnect, and we can’t wait to return. Thank you Georgina, Jorge, and Christina for an amazing week. See you next year! many thanks T & L

- Bring insect repellent. No screens on sliding doors or windows. I left covered in bites/welts. The other option is to keep the room closed up and run the AC, but who wants to do that with the ocean outside your door? You may as well go to Orlando. - Shower heads and shower curtains need an upgrade. The heads are from the 70s and the curtains are industrial plastic with cheap plastic rings. - An outdoor shower would be a welcome addition to the property as opposed to the shared plastic bin of water you step into to "rinse" your feet. - Absopure (or similar) water dispensers would be another welcome addition instead of the plastic water bottles left in the room each day. I can't imagine how many thousands of water bottles are thrown out each year at this one small location. Wasteful and unnecessary. -Overall, it's a budget hotel with a beachfront location.

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming boutique hotel in San Jose de Cabo. The atmosphere is peaceful and serene- a true hidden gem right on the beach. We woke each morning to the sound of waves and the beautiful Sea of Cortez. A perfect get away. What made the experience especially memorable was the warm local hospitality. Owner Christina goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and cared for. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious homemade breakfast cooked fresh and served with such care. It was the perfect start to our days. If you are looking for a quiet beachside retreat with heartfelt service and an authentic local touch, this boutique hotel is the place. We look forward to returning.
