Yangshuo Bamboo Sea Linjiang Homestay (Xingping 20 Yuan Scenic Area)

Construction site right outside, dust everywhere, and a view that doesn’t exist I stayed at Yangshuo Bamboo Sea expecting the scenic views shown on the booking site, but the reality was quite different. The hotel is currently surrounded by an active construction site, which made the area look unfinished and unpleasant from the moment we arrived. The room itself was disappointing — dust covered every surface, the floor was dirty, and there was visible mold in the shower. The bed linens had holes in them, which felt completely unacceptable for a paid stay. The windows were so dirty that the advertised views were essentially invisible — a major letdown given that the view was one of the main selling points in the listing. Breakfast was equally underwhelming: just instant noodles and a boiled egg, with no real variety. If you wanted coffee, you had to pay an extra 20 yuan for it. Overall, this hotel falls far short of what’s advertised. I would not recommend staying here.

Aussie Solo Traveller: Wow! I’ve been moving around China for a month, and this stay was so special! Location is a bit off the grid, but feels really special because you’re in the heart of all the scenic spots of the area. What was the most appreciated was the service from the staff at the hotel! They were so so so so helpful with logistical issues, transport, talking with private drivers, organising private experiences and tours - the staff were terrific. Oh and the hotel itself if beautiful, super comfortable bed and room had beautiful views. Highly recommend!
