From the moment we walked in we knew we made a good decision. The owner (or manager) made us feel at home, and we felt welcome. This is a wonderful hotel, a budget rate for a good mid-range. The rooms are good size and comfortable, and very aesthetic, with a lot of thought put in. In fact, the whole hotel, especially the kitchen and eating area, is a small museum, with some really interesting items. The location can't be better, 15-20 minutes from both the Registan and the bazaar. The neighborhood (the old Jewish area) is quiet, with a decent grocery store nearby. All in all a very good opinion, which we highly recommend.

We were very happy with the service of this hotel. sanjar helped us with taxi bookings. He stayed up late to welcome us and got up early to see us off. The place is charming and interesting with the collections of vintage paraphernalia. Place is east to get to most attractions. Take his advice on restaurants, we had great meals all the time. Try the samsos which are en route to the Registan and enjoy the birds in the courtyard.

Perfect in every way. The guest house is a 10 minute walk from Registan square and all other attractions are also within walking distance. The host is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are decorated beautifully. When I stayed there, there was construction going on nearby, which I think is why I got it for such a low price because it’s definitely worth more than what I paid for it.

Excellent place to start. Very helpful and intelligent owner with university degree on art history and great colleciton of Samarqand related books, etc. Close to al-Maturidi Mausoleum, about 10min walk to either Registan or Shah-i Zinda Complex.

Very welcoming host, speaking foreign languages and providing all the advice and valuable information. Common kitchen is nice and well equipped . Everything is clean and tidy. Rooms are large . Enjoyed my stay there.
