Proud Phu Fah Muang Chiang Mai

The location has both pros and cons. It's close to the mountains with lots of trees, which is refreshing and green. The downside of being here is that it takes a very long time to get a Grab if you don't have your own car. If you have an appointment, you need to factor in a lot of waiting time for transportation. The breakfast wasn't very tasty, but the place itself is beautiful. Also, the rooms aren't very soundproof.

This was by far the worst experience I've had staying in Chiang Mai. 1. The hotel bar uses mangoes that are black and clearly not fresh. Eating them would definitely give you an upset stomach. The first round of drinks served had tiny flies in them. Don't they check the quality of their drinks before serving? And then the second round still had bugs in it. 2. When checking out, the front desk informed us that there were stains on the bed sheets and we'd be charged 1300 THB. We had a flight to catch, so why didn't they tell us on the day it happened? Why wait until we were checking out? Furthermore, we repeatedly asked for proof, we wanted to see the bed sheets with our own eyes, but the front desk kept stalling and never brought them out. The service was truly awful, and the breakfast wasn't fresh either. 3. I called the front desk at night to ask if they had any stomach medicine. The front desk said they would call back in a bit, but no one ever did. The service really doesn't meet expectations. And the restaurant? Don't even get me started. If you don't believe me, feel free to try it yourself, haha.

The hotel's design is beautiful and lush. Although the area isn't vast, it has cats and rabbits, which kids love. Breakfast is good, and the bread is delicious.

I think I was influenced by a paid promotion from a Xiaohongshu influencer, which skewed my judgment. The hotel is located deep within an alley, which is very inconvenient. The hotel itself is small and cramped, and the pool is tiny. It definitely doesn't live up to the price. I feel like they might be specifically targeting Chinese travelers with their marketing. All in all, I won't be choosing this hotel again. The only upside was that the Northern Thai sour sausages at breakfast tasted good.

The environment here is pretty good, and the breakfast is by far the most abundant I've ever had. My friend absolutely loved the made-to-order dishes, whatever they're called! During my stay, the hotel was undergoing renovations, but they compensated us by offering complimentary transportation to some excursions, including the Sticky Waterfalls (which were super fun!), Angel Falls, and a temple. On the downside, the faucets and shower in the bathroom were a bit old, and the hotel's location is quite out of the way. However, because of its secluded location, we stumbled upon an incredibly delicious Thai restaurant nearby called TOEN Thai Food & Restaurant! Seriously, everyone, go eat there and don't let it go out of business; I'd be heartbroken, okay? Overall, it was a pretty good stay. P.S. Pic 2 is of the restaurant!

The hotel is a bit deep down an alley, but overall the service was good.

We stayed in a suite with a king bed and two single beds. The king bed was actually in the living room, and for four people, having only one bathroom was a bit inconvenient. The room's heated pool was fantastic; it stayed warm even when we swam at night. Breakfast was good; while not a huge variety, everything was tasty. The staff were incredibly friendly. When checking out, they were super efficient in settling our bill, and within 5 minutes, they had retrieved all the items we'd left in the room, which was really helpful and saved us a lot of hassle. The hotel's location is a bit out of the way, and going out nearby might feel a bit unsafe, but delivery services were readily available. The ice cream, pizza, and special drinks we ordered through the hotel's room service were all delicious, especially the pizza – it exceeded our expectations, we were just ordering it as a quick meal!
