Show More ReviewsXishan Scenic Area in Kunming, Yunnan Province, features towering peaks in its northern part, including Bixiao Mountain, Huating Mountain, Taihua Mountain, Taiping Mountain, Luohan Mountain, and Guabang Mountain. The highest peak, Meinv Peak, reaches 2511 meters, rising over 620 meters above Dianchi Lake. The southern part of the mountain is lower in elevation. Xishan boasts well-preserved mountain forests and historical sites such as Huating Temple, Taihua Temple, Sanqing Pavilion, Longmen (Dragon Gate), the tombs of Nie Er and Zhang Tianxu, and the Nanyang Mechanics Monument commemorating the contributions of overseas Chinese during the Anti-Japanese War. At the summit are a small stone forest and Yunnan's earliest high-altitude meteorological station. At the foot of the mountain are Sheng'an Temple and Xiyuan Garden.
