I stayed at RatiLanna Riverside Spa Resort Chiang Mai for 2 nightsand overall found the experience a bit disappointing. The hotel’s style and atmosphere are beautiful, but only if you stay in the main building. When we booked, there was no info about this at all and later we saw some “reminding style” reviews through Google, by calling the hotel we were told upgrading costs 1,500 THB per night. (For not ruining the trip, we did) Service was also less attentive—more than half of the staff didn’t open doors for guests (at least us) The room felt humid and the fragrance/incense we asked for didn’t help. Housekeeping wasn’t detailed, and they didn’t replenish items promptly (no timely mosquito repellent/fruit). Breakfast was acceptable but ingredients were quite ordinary, with oily/fried options; egg dishes were the best. Overall: lovely setting, but room comfort/service and booking transparency need improvement.

Although the hotel is a bit older, it has complete facilities and excellent service. Plus, it's great value for money and located in beautiful surroundings.

This was a great stay for a family with little kids. Breakfast had a lot of variety but wasn't anything special - basic buffet style. I wish there were more Thai options.

The location is great, the bathroom is large and spacious with good water pressure, and it's clean. The breakfast is good with a wide variety of choices, and there are seats by the Ping River to enjoy the view. However, the drop-off service at the front could be improved slightly. Overall, it's a good place to stay and worth recommending.

Hotel is a little old and dated. Room size is big but modern comfort is missing: no bedside plugs for phone charging. No coffee machines. Taps and showers are old and slightly rusted. Breakfast choice was also limited. And worst was the parking! I am a little handicap and when I parked at the handicap lot, the hotel said I need to move my car as there was limited space for buses and vans to pass. Then why have a handicap lot there? And though it is by the side of the Ping River, there is really nothing much to see or do by the river! For the price of THB9000 a night, it was certainly not worth the money!

We had a wonderful stay at Ratilanna from January 10-13. Our experience was made even more special with a complimentary room upgrade, which added a touch of grandeur to our stay. The food at the restaurant was delightful and we particularly loved the extensive breakfast spread. Our only suggestion would be to include a few more vegetarian options on the menu. Overall, a truly memorable and relaxing experience!
