Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, la Crosse, WI

The hotel and rooms were very clean. On the other had, breakfast was awful. The bread was hard, eggs cold and sausages overcooked and gross. Management needs to focus a bit more on their breakfast as they are advancing “ breakfast included “ which leaves very little to be desired.

Booked through trip.com and the hotel somehow erased the card used by Trip to book it and charged my card… I caught them the first time when I was checking in when she tried to charge me and she cleared it… said only $50 would go on my card then for incidentals… which it did, but then again the next morning when I was checking out, I looked at my account and they had charged me again in full for the room… It’s been 4 days and the hold still hasn’t fallen off… That’s too much money to be taking from people in error for them to have to wait days to get back… Definitely not happy about it and won’t be returning. Other than that, all was decent.

Everything was great, very impressed and if our daughter decides to go to college here we will be staying a lot more

My room was very small and old. Pictures online are a bit misleading. The check in counter is also small and old. We had a view of overgrown grass and a U-Haul rental business, complete with people walking around on that grass to move trailers and things on Saturday morning. The area is very industrial. The back of the hotel is pretty nice with a newer patio area. The continental breakfast was good, and the lobby had water and coffee in it. The people we talked to were kind and professional.

The room was super clean and nice. The mattress however was like a rock. Didn’t sleep much :( Breakfast was ok- not a lot of options with rock hard sausage paddies and eggs. Staff was super friendly.

I chose this location because it was highly rated for a solo traveler, which I was. I can confirm that this is a great location, easy to get to, well maintained, and friendly staff who provide provided me great recommendations for restaurants. Between Onalaska as well as La Crosse, both towns had lots of options for food and shopping as needed.

The room was clean and quiet. I only ate the breakfast once but it was great and there was a big selection of food to choose from. I really enjoyed my stay.
