Salem Waterfront Hotel & Suites

Very nice all the way around. Beautiful room and our king size bed was very comfortable as were the pillows, All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful.

Nice place today, very clean, helpful staff and close to everything. Park our car and didn’t get into till we left. Good food and a bar!

Location cannot be beat, a lot of Salem sights are a walkable distance from this hotel. Staff was very friendly and we had no issues with them. The hotel's "recent" renovations look nice but it's obvious that cheaper quality was chosen instead of splurging. The floors in the room were stuck down vinyl that is popping and peeling. The cabinet in the room housing the fridge and microwave continually popped all day and night. The bedframe is nice, but the mattress was cheap and uncomfortable. Springs poking, sagging and the like made it a long and uncomfortable week when it was supposed to be a relaxing getaway. Even in the off season it felt overpriced at the end of our stay.

I liked the indoor pool. The reason I booked it. Expensive compared to others that provide breakfast. Expected waterfront view from name.

Disappointed in what we got for the amount we paid. At first glance things seem great but the details are lacking. Parking was full when we checked in, had to circle several times and finally went in and asked before we were then told it was OK to move a cone blocking a space to park. Would have been nice to know up front. We also asked the front desk to address the noise in the room from the AC/hearing unit and they did not. It was off but still making loud noise like a white noise sound machine would. Other details also overlooked, like the bed frame sticking out pass the mattress, you hit your legs on it getting out of bed and the shampoo/body wash bottles that are fixed on the shower wall were put at the most narrow point instead of the back wall so we kept hitting elbows on it. The pool could use a cleaning. The highlight here is that it was clean and there was adequate hit water but if we come back to town we'll stay somewhere esle.

This hotel is in a great location on Pickering Wharf, close to all the attractions Salem has to offer. Parking was super easy, and walking anywhere from here was too. The room was stylish, clean, and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the pool, which was just as clean. On two mornings we purchased breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant, and it was great. If we return to Salem again, we’d stay here no question!

Hotel was a perfect location. We walked to everything we wanted to see. They had a nice restaurant; we ate breakfast there. Staff was very helpful and they have a wonderful indoor pool. Would definitely recommend to others.

The hotel was a great place to stay if you're traveling to visit Salem. However, there is no drinking water fountains available in the hotel.

Had higher expectations. Loud unpredictable and badly chosen location of a/c - heater device. Could easily hear tv in next door room all night long. Re-design of room needed. Good parking nice onsite restaurant.
