Villa Las Tronas Hotel & Spa

Everything was incredible, the sea views from the room and the restaurant. The parking facilities and the beautiful grounds, but most especially the whole staff made us feel like family! We love Alghero!

So beautiful, so authentic, so charming- and most of all- the couple that own this hotel are so kind and wonderful. It feels like you are a guest in their beautiful mansion. The spa is so clean, so sterile, and private. The views are spectacular. The food is wonderful- especially the vongole - cooked very al dente and hot. This is the only place anyone should consider to stay in Alghero, and it is the best in Sardegna.

Loved our stay here although only for one night. It felt we were entering a different world due to the location away from the town but within a short stroll - perfect! Very quiet and we loved the spa with a saltwater pool and exploring around the ghosted in the evening. Lovely staff, very attentive. Breakfast to order was great though we missed out on dinner as 8pm was a little late for us that day. Super value too (worth booking direct) in October! Well recommended

Absolutely loved it! At first we thought it had a Shabby chic look but the more we stayed there the more we LOVED it. We kept extending day after day and the reason was, we did not want to go anywhere else because this place was perfect. We had the Maestrale Suite which had a huge deck with hot tub. The staff was fabulous. The cocktails (and appetizers) were excellent and that is not always easy to find in Italy. They were prepared perfectly. The hotel is on beautiful grounds with a nice pool and steps into the ocean. The only thing that would have made it better is a little service poolside but it was late in the season. The walk to town is about 15 minutes and lovely and very safe. I discovered the spa too late and am still kicking myself for not using it every day. There is a lovely warm salt water pool and two types of steam rooms. It was dreamy!

Classic hotel in east walking distance of old town. Wonderful staff at front desk and in restaurant.

Everything about this stay was first class. The view was breathtaking. The Staff was polite, deferential and efficient. Breakfast was wonderful with a great selection of options. Hated to leave.

A splendid holiday that was as reassuring as it ever was. A singular property, a location that defies a star rating ( Six is the current maximum) and the comfort of the same staff who are unfailingly a delight, breakfast on the terrace a remarkable way to start the day, a pool, access to the sea and a 10 minute stroll into town adds to the experience. We’ll be back next year, this is not a typical 5 Star hotel, but so much better that you can’t help feeling lucky to stay.

The hotel view is amazing and the staff is good and helpful but the hotel is a bit dated. in terms of up keep. This might be because it is the end of the season though. There is no shuttle into town and if you are going to a more dress up restaurant and do not want to be sweaty you need to hire a car. The hotel does have contacts.
