Weijing Wyndham Hotel Pu'er Simao District Tea Horse Ancient Town Branch

The room was very comfortable, and the bed was exceptionally cozy with one firm and one soft pillow. The bathtub was large and deep, and the hot water was excellent, making for a very relaxing bath. The environment was particularly beautiful, the dining area was lovely, and the decorative paintings were stunning! The lobby was also very grand. The lady at the tea room was warm and friendly, sharing a lot of tea knowledge with us. When checking out, the front desk attendant even gave us a small gift, which was a really thoughtful touch!

This is the best value-for-money hotel in Pu'er city, located right in the Tea Horse Ancient Town. It's very close to the airport and all the popular 'influencer' spots, and the area is full of tea shops. On the night we checked in, the neighborhood next door had a huge explosion, and we got to watch a free firework show all night! The next day, we saw the news and realized it was a pretty big fire in Pu'er. The second night, after the smoke cleared, we had a very good rest. The hotel also offered complimentary tea tasting, breakfast, and lunch, which made it an excellent deal!

1. I've never seen such a bad Wyndham. 2. The bedding was too soft, making it very uncomfortable to sleep in. I woke up with a sore back. 3. The breakfast was utterly terrible, a complete disaster. There were many flying insects on the dessert table, and if I only tasted the milk and soy milk, I would have thought it was dishwater. 4. The free lunch was even more perfunctory, consisting entirely of leftovers from the morning, served untouched to guests. 5. The hardware and decor seem to have nothing to do with Wyndham; it's probably just an old hotel rebranded. The entrance is still under construction. (The pictures are blurry, but there were flying insects everywhere, both above and below. The breakfast was extremely monotonous; I spat out several items after just one bite.)

I stayed one night at the Pu'er Red Panda Manor, and the experience far exceeded my expectations! I was woken by birdsong in the morning, and the forest outside the window, shrouded in a light mist, was breathtakingly beautiful. The biggest surprise was being able to get up close and personal with the free-roaming red pandas. One of them slowly walked up to me, begging for an apple – it was absolutely adorable! The hotel is completely integrated into the primeval forest, with rustic wooden cabins and modern, comfortable facilities. The butler service was attentive, and in the evenings, you can participate in stargazing and night exploration activities, making it perfect for families with children. Although the price is a bit high, this unique experience of being so close to nature is absolutely worth it! I've already recommended it to all my friends; it's definitely a hidden gem of a hotel I'd love to return to.
