Castle Waimea Country Lodge

Parking is free, safe. Just 120 yards from intersection at 90 degree turn. It is about 20 minutes drive from the coast, the only drawback.

Contactless check in and out, we picked up our key in an after hours box. We found the staff kind and helpful when needed. Nothing fancy but clean and had great views of the valley. Quiet hotel that is suitable for guests looking for budget friendly option in a central location. Grocery store, Starbucks, restaurants all in walking distance.

Room was fantastic. I didn't see a thermostat, maybe i didn't look hard enough. That would concern me in summer. Really enjoyed our stay, really appreciate their pricing.

Staff very friendly, clean well decorated room. Quiet as there was very little road noise, just some roosters (as nearly everywhere in Hawaii). The main drawback was an insufficiently dark room at night thanks to greatly excessive outdoor lighting in front combined with slatted blinds that were far from light tight. Reduced lighting by 50% or more (preferable as someone who supports dark skies) or put room darkening blinds in the front.

Amazing property, close parking, and fun to see the chickens roaming around.

Lodge was perfect for us. We’re from Oahu, and was working down the road. Our room had everything we needed.
