My stay at Sunworld Hotel was unfortunately very disappointing due to multiple hygiene and service issues.
Firstly, there was a clear inconsistency in housekeeping standards. On check-in, the room had three hand towels but no bath mat. When I called housekeeping, I was told to use one of the “extra” hand towels as a bath mat. This is frankly unacceptable and unhygienic — there is no way for guests to know whether those towels had previously been used on the floor.
Cleanliness was also a major concern. There were flies in the bathroom, and I found hair on the bed that clearly did not belong to me. This raises serious questions about the room preparation process.
The breakfast experience was equally poor. The food quality was terrible — most items were cold and unappetising. Tea was served using two Lipton tea bags that were repeatedly topped up with hot water, resulting in a very diluted drink. More concerning was the hygiene practice — only used utensils were cleared, while “unused” ones were left on the table for the next guest, which is not appropriate. Lastly, I requested a simple 30-minute late check-out, but was told to leave a positive review in exchange. This is highly unprofessional and undermines the credibility of guest feedback.
Overall, the experience fell short in cleanliness, food quality, and service standards. I hope management takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary improvements.
