It was simply fantastic. Not too big with 36 rooms. Very private and cozy. Great design and interior. Absolutely recommended for families with children who aren't put off by a higher price range. Great food, plenty to keep the kids entertained. Parents hardly realize they're in a hotel for children. Everything is very discreet yet perfectly executed. The staff were always smiling and incredibly friendly. Children are explicitly welcome, and it was the first time I've felt so comfortable in a hotel. The beds were excellent, the spa superb, and the restaurant and buffet fantastic. All in all, simply wonderful. We'd love to come back again soon.

We stayed 10 nights at the Gardea Soulfamily Hotel and I couldn’t recommend it more highly for people looking for a family hotel. Located around a 10 minute walk from the Torbole town area, the hotel is well positioned for exploring the Northern part of Lake Garda. The hotel is on a slight hill but regular shuttle buses are offered so this is not a huge issue. The area is absolutely stunning! The hotel clearly caters to young families and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into the small details that make it easier for this audience. Our kids (age 10 and 5) loved it and I would say any child up to around 10-12 years old would feel the same. The hotel is also very modern and clean. Everything is of very high standard. Food is exceptional. Great breakfast options and very high quality evening meals. I personally felt the prices of drinks was reasonable for this level of hotel. What makes the hotel really special though is the staff. It’s a relatively small hotel and so a core team of staff members who run the site. They are incredibly friendly and helpful. If you have a young family, are looking to stay in this part of Lake Garda and don’t mind paying a bit more for an exceptional hotel then I would look no further!

Context: Family of 6 (two adults and 4 children) travelling through South Germany, Dolomites, Garda and French Alps for our summer holiday. We stayed at Gardea Soul Family for 3 nights in July ‘26. The Good: clean facilities, attractive looking building, warm and professional welcome, attentive staff, safe and secure parking. We rented a dingy in Torbole at a place recommended by the hotel and we had fun sailing it. The Bad: poor sound mitigation between rooms/communal areas. For example on the last night we were woken (including our 2 year old) at 10.30pm by a child screaming about having his iPad taken off him in the corridor outside our room. The ‘adventure park’ 5 minutes walk away was recommended by the hotel but is a bit run down and the high ropes etc are much better at other venues we have been to, at a more reasonable price point. There is also a lot of traffic in the local area, but that is to be expected in July, albeit it spoils the ambience of the area. The Ugly: This is simply not a 5 star establishment, rather they have stuck 5 stars on the front of the building, but with no actual attempt to meet 5 star standards - it is a solid 3 star and if the pricing wasn’t so high, my expectations would have been different. The food was very average (mitigated only by the attentive and polite waiting staff) and for those commenting that it has previously been great, I can only assume the chef has recently changed or those reviewers have not actually experienced 5 star quality food before, because it really isn’t anything special! The attempt at a ‘tasting menu’ on the Friday night was frankly laughable with large parts inedible, which was very surprising for Italy! We were charged over 5000 euros for 3 nights in two adjoining rooms and frankly paid through gritted teeth, feeling thoroughly ripped off. We had just come from Aki Family Resort in Plose (Dolomites), where the rate was less per night but the overall quality was excellent - it made for a particularly stark comparison!

The hotel was second to none! The staff were kind, friendly and approachable The pools were were wonderful, they were heated which was brilliant with children and changeable weather ! The rooms were well laid out and presented, the views from the room and hotel were stunning The food was delicious with a plentiful menu including breakfast being our favourite meal of the day. There was a great selection for afternoon snack from 3-5pm and then the evening meal catered for all with 2 nights in 7 having a taster menu with a wide range of local food There were breathtaking walks from the hotel and the hotel is a short walk from Torbole. Torbole offers bike hire and lovely walks along the lakeside, with ice cream and pizza a plenty

We had a wonderful stay at Gardea SoulFamily Resort and would absolutely return. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt calm, welcoming, and genuinely family-focused without ever feeling overwhelming or chaotic. What really stood out to us was how thoughtfully everything is designed for families with young children. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into making parents’ lives easier while still creating a fun and engaging environment for children. The kids club was a definite highlight - well-organised, safe, and full of activities that our daughter genuinely looked forward to each day. Despite our daughter being the only English-speaking child she never felt isolated, all the staff made sure that she was included. The rooms were another big plus: spacious, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable for a family stay. The overall quality of the facilities across the resort is excellent, from the common areas to the play spaces, all kept to a very high standard. The food was also excellent throughout our stay. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options to suit all tastes, and evenings felt like a real treat with a more refined dining experience for adults. At the same time, we really appreciated that familiar dishes were always available for children each day, which provided a sense of consistency and made mealtimes easy and stress-free. If you’re traveling with young children and looking for a place where you can truly relax while knowing they’re happy and well cared for, this resort is a fantastic choice.

We had a great experience in the resort. The room was spotlessly clean, the staff was friendly, and everything went well. We had an overall great experience and it's clear that the staff and resort is really doing everything to give guests a five star experience. That said, there is room for improvement, especially in the food department. While I understand the logic behind it, selecting dinner courses in the morning is awkward. In addition, some of the dinner courses were just bland or not good at all. Some dishes were lacking salt or basic taste and some were simply over sophisticated without any justification. I'm sure this can be improved. It would have been also really great of there was a jacuzzi on the premises.

We'll probably go back! What an amazing hotel. Their website and the reviews don't convey some of the important small details about this hotel that make a family stay. First and foremost, this is obviously a hotel for families. They prioritise the kids and that's amazing. The kids club is really good. They print the weeks itinerary that runs from Monday to Sunday so that you can see everything that is on. You can drop your kid/s at anytime without booking them in so it's so easy to pick and choose when you want some peace! There's lots for the kids to do so they don't get bored. Although I think a few more toys or activities might help for the times when there isn't a defined activity scheduled. The pools are brilliant and it's generally easy to stay close to your kids and have an eye on them. They are of a good depth and slightly heated. The only negative is that the tiles on the inside are super slippery. We thought the food was really good and it was nice to experience different types of Italian food. Make sure you like Italian food though as getting any other type of food is impossible with the exception of a couple of things on the kids menu. There was always plenty of choice at dinner but it would have been good to see a few other things at breakfast or a change of some things from day to day. Finally the staff. They are incredible and so friendly. They are almost at the level of the friendliness of Fijian people and that is really saying something!
