We chose MGM West Bund for New Year's Eve. Betty had contacted us early via WeChat to ask about our needs and helped us prepare a kids' toiletries set. Upon check-in, we were upgraded to a Deluxe River View room and received a handwritten card, a small cake, fruit, and a little lion plush toy. The deluxe room was indeed spacious at over 60 square meters, with a great view of Xupu and Minpu Bridges. The Huangpu River looked quite beautiful when the sunlight shimmered on its surface.
Breakfast was excellent with many choices, including freshly made congee. The coffee had the MGM logo printed on it, which was a nice touch.

One minor drawback was that it was very cold by the window; we had to draw the thick curtains for a bit of warmth, which seems to be a design flaw of the building.
