Relais & Spa Castello di Casiglio

This was part of a tour of the Italian Lakes. The tour company really bigged up this hotel, and to be sure the it’s impressive. However OUR stay experience was decidedly average, but other guests on our tour liked it very much. Our room was small and hot, the windows opened but would not stay open without some sort of stopper, in our case both our fluffy bathrobes, air conditioning was turned off. Management said it was too early in the season. To add insult to injury the staff took their smoke breaks under our windows. Not a great experience for us for us at least, but as I say other guests really like it. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel.

This hotel was arranged by my friends wife, who again knocked it out of the park with this hotel. The grounds, pool, bar area are stunning. The weather was perfection which is why we witnessed at least 3 weddings during our stay. Ideal location for attending the F1 race in Monza. 2 years ago I stayed in Milano, which was a logistical nightmare. This property no trip to or from took more than 20 minutes. We had our own little car show on the front lawn. My only 2 slight gripes, the hallway that lead to my room ( I think room 206?) was extremely dark at night, yes I tripped a few times while returning to my room. I don’t drink alcohol, so it clearly wasn’t that. If there was a light sensor, it wasn’t working during our stay. The room was very difficult to keep cool, cold wasn’t an option. I made a couple slight modifications to redirect the ac over by the sauna, as seen in the photos. However, a wonderful property when I come back in a year or 2, this will be the place.

I have been here years ago. Now we stayed once more here. Nice hotel. Close to Como. Excellent restaurants in the surrounding and also in the hotel. Unfortunately we were only one night here and i could not test the Spa. Maybe there is more time next time

Loved this hotel. The spa area, sauna, steam room and pool was wonderful. The castle and the modern buildings perfectly connected in decor and via underground. Gardens lovely. I left 3 garments behind in the wardrobe. The hotel sent them home, back to the UK immediately and they arrived in the Uk to my home before me, free of charge. They were beautifully boxed and wrapped together with a complimentary Fridge magnet. How wonderful customer service! Thank you.

The hotel grounds and spa were beautiful However, the room: decor, comfort and usability let’s down the hotel and thus the experience The WiFi in the room was patchy and the tv only had Italian speaking programs and no option for subtitles in a chosen language. This coupled with the poor WiFi meant that on the 3 rainy days of our trip you are limited for things to do sadly

They had to many guests to have dinner in the restaurant on sight. We were driven to a pizzaria nearby :-(

Wow ! I loved this charming hotel which is a former castle, and the owners have renovated it brilliantly by keeping many of its original features. I would imagine it was just like staying in an old castle several hundred years ago, but in the modern day. My room was very comfortable with a nice bathroom. The bar area and restaurant were very nice. Lovely grounds for walking in nicer weather and plenty of parking. I should not forget the lovely staff who spoke great English, and were very helpful. It’s a pity my stay was for one night only. Hopefully I will get the chance to revisit again sometime soon.

A wonderful, gorgeous place. I am pretty sure that Heaven looks like the palace’s gardens. A place where history meets the bitanical gardens...
