The Peninsula Bangkok

The room facilities are older than average hotels, and a bit worse than other five-star hotels. It’s time for the hotel to update its wallpaper, TVs, and carpets. The carpets are quite dirty. Only the breakfast and pool were satisfactory. The night view and afternoon tea were also quite good. The afternoon tea set for two: The afternoon tea was delicious, and the Thai milk tea was great.

We stay at The Peninsula every year, and this time I specifically chose it for my birthday. The hotel surprised me with a birthday cake and complimentary afternoon tea, which was incredibly thoughtful. They also upgraded us to a balcony room, making for a perfect birthday getaway.

This was the ultimate retreat. I really enjoyed the pool and gym activities and had a relaxing two-day, one-night stay at the hotel. The pain au chocolat for breakfast was incredibly delicious. The hummus and fresh vegetables were also a highlight. The sauna in the spa was very clean and had a pleasant, minty fragrance, which was very comforting. The cold plunge pool was wonderfully refreshing. I definitely want to stay here again. Furthermore, all the staff were truly excellent, making my stay comfortable from check-in to check-out. I especially want to thank Patcha for helping me with my luggage and chatting with me while I was waiting for my car.

Overall, my stay was incredibly satisfying, and I have to commend the hotel's service. The front desk staff were exceptionally gentle and patient. During check-in, they meticulously explained nearby attractions and transportation advice, patiently answering all my questions with a warm and friendly demeanor. While the hotel facilities clearly show their age, and the room was a bit old-fashioned, it was equipped with all the essential daily amenities and kept spotlessly clean, which didn't affect my stay at all. The breakfast was a major highlight of this trip! The variety was fantastic, with a great selection of Thai snacks, fruits, and hot dishes. Everything tasted authentic and delicious, making every morning meal very satisfying. Staff were visible everywhere, proactively helping to clear plates, providing attentive and thoughtful service. Even though the hardware isn't brand new, the genuinely warm and attentive service from everyone made a huge impression. It offers great value for money, and the stay was comfortable and pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel for a Bangkok vacation, and I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip.

The views are amazing, you can watch the fireworks directly from your room. Transportation is convenient, with a shuttle boat to Iconsiam every half hour, and on-demand service to the pier. Every day, a different dessert is delivered to the room, and breakfast offers river views and is quite substantial. The staff are incredibly attentive, polite, and don't disturb you unnecessarily. The only downside is that the room's interior facilities are a bit dated, such as the charging outlets and the smart control panel for the whole room. Overall, it's good value for money, especially since this Peninsula is super affordable.

Although the hotel is old, it's well-maintained, and the signs of age give it a rich millennial vibe.

This is a very comfortable hotel with an 'old money' aesthetic – think classic luxury. The facilities and services are top-notch, though. From the moment they opened the car door and took my luggage, to check-in, the welcome fruit, turndown service, and in-room dining, everything was seamless, natural, and very comfortable. It's only a few hundred meters from ICONSIAM, and the hotel has its own pier with a shuttle boat every 30 minutes, which is super convenient.

Facilities: Although it's an older hotel, it's very well-maintained, and the overall environment is clean and fresh. Service: The service was absolutely excellent. The staff were all very enthusiastic and had great attitudes. They were proactively helpful – a quick glance was all it took for them to immediately ask what you needed.

An established hotel on the Chao Phraya River, facing the Mandarin Oriental across the bank. Ten years ago, I passed by on a boat, and ten years later, my dream came true – I checked in! Facilities: Strong Peninsula vibe. The front desk was great, helping us get an upgrade to a terrace room, which was so comfortable with an outdoor area, especially in Bangkok. Ambiance: Full of old-money charm, from the room to the lobby bar with live band, and then a wonderful martini at the bar... Service: Excellent service, quick response times. The turndown service was lovely, and even the ride to the MO across the river made us want to come back again.
