Last year I booked this for my parents, and this year I brought my kids for a concert and experienced it myself. The room is spacious and the facilities are new. My first impression upon entering the room was that it looks even better than the pictures. The staff are warm and attentive, especially the lovely proprietress. Since we were returning guests, she even upgraded our room type. I'll definitely recommend this place if I come to Laoshan again or if relatives and friends visit. To be honest, I rarely stay in B&Bs when I travel. I only resort to them when I really love a place and there are no hotels available, only B&Bs. Hotels are standardized, so I know what to expect. But with B&Bs, I've heard too many stories of places looking like a paradise in photos but turning out to be a rural guesthouse when you get there. I'm genuinely afraid of getting a bad experience. This trip to Qingdao was a challenge. When I was doing my research, I found that all the places truly right on the seafront, where you could open the window and hear the waves, were B&Bs – not a single hotel. If you wanted that view, a B&B was your only option, no other way around it. So, I bit the bullet and started browsing. When I came across Ya Song Jian Wen, the photos looked decent, but I was still apprehensive – "The photos are definitely retouched," "Who knows what the real place looks like?" However, once I arrived, my worries immediately vanished. It was exactly like the photos, even more comfortable because the sound of the waves and the smell of the tide couldn't be captured in pictures. At that moment, I just thought, 'Wow, I gambled right this time.'

Honestly, when I first saw the pictures, I wasn't particularly impressed. I just thought, 'It looks decent, clean.' But as soon as I walked in, I was completely blown away – it's so much more stunning in person than in the photos. The pictures really don't capture the true quality; things like the texture of the furniture, the color temperature of the lighting, or the tactile feel of the wall materials are things you can only appreciate when you're actually there. I consider myself a bit of a designer, and I usually find fault with hotels, whether it's poor finishing details or incorrect proportions. But after a thorough look around this place, I couldn't find a single flaw. Everything used here is genuinely high-end: the bathroom fixtures feel solid and substantial, and the mattress isn't one of those cheap, flimsy types. The amenities are easily on par with a star-rated hotel, but the photos simply don't do it justice. It's definitely a case of 'understated luxury.'

This guesthouse is an absolute gem! 😄 Its location is fantastic, with stunning views right outside the door. The decor is incredibly artistic, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. Watching the sea and just chilling out here is incredibly comfortable 😋. The rooms are well-equipped, spotless, and the service is so warm and attentive, making us feel completely at home. The guesthouse breakfast is also excellent, with both Chinese and Western options, and both taste great ✨. It's a shame we were so short on time this visit; I really wish we could have stayed a few more days. It was truly comfortable, highly recommend! 😆

You can not only enjoy the sea view here but also experience intangible cultural heritage tea ceremonies. The owner is incredibly genuine, offering attentive service without being intrusive, which made me feel very relaxed. The room was clean and cozy, and the bedding was comfortable. It was a slow-paced experience that exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely come back again.

The location is incredibly convenient! It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach, so you can go clam digging anytime. It's also close to all the main attractions with great transport links nearby. After a long day of exploring, you can come back to the guesthouse for a free coffee, and then enjoy an authentic seafood dinner in the evening. It really sets the perfect holiday mood!

This B&B is incredibly well-designed with a chic Wabi-sabi aesthetic. The biggest surprise was the private hot spring fed by Laoshan mountain water right in the room. Soaking in the warm bath while watching the sea view made all my fatigue disappear instantly. The toiletries and sound system are all high-end – a dream for anyone who appreciates attention to detail. Staying here was truly a healing experience.

Blindly picked this guesthouse for our trip to Laoshan, and the experience was absolutely amazing! The room has huge floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the sea, so you can watch the stunning sunrise over the ocean right from your bed – the 'orange sea' romantic vibe is just incredible. The environment is quiet, and the owner is super friendly and welcoming. This is definitely the top choice for couples looking for a seaside getaway. Highly recommend!
