Phuket Kata Resotel

Close to Kata Beach, about a five-minute walk. There's a market right outside and plenty of restaurants, plus a 7-Eleven. It's very quiet and peaceful. The hotel has two large swimming pools that are cleaned daily, and the rooms are cleaned every day. It's a very comfortable place, and the price isn't bad during the low season.

We initially ended up at the hotel next door because they share a wall, and navigation isn't as precise here as in China. (I usually find Gaode Maps quite reliable.) The area right outside the hotel is very lively, with a market that makes shopping and dining incredibly convenient, plus a 7-Eleven. The beach is a short four to five-minute walk away, which isn't bad at all. **Service:** The staff were decent, nothing outstanding but perfectly fine. The front desk was happy to help when I needed change, so no complaints about the service. **Facilities:** While the entrance looks unassuming, the inside is a pleasant surprise. The hotel is quite large, divided into front and back courtyards. Our room was in the back courtyard with direct pool access, and the hotel environment was fantastic – very satisfied. The room size was as described, neither too big nor too small, which was acceptable. We were traveling with our 15-year-old, and the rule in Phuket hotels is that double rooms are for two people only; any extra person requires an additional bed. This hotel charged 900 Thai Baht per day for an extra bed. Hotels in Phuket aren't exactly new, but their facilities aren't exactly old either; I found them acceptable. **Food:** Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM. The food was a bit less impressive compared to other hotels I've stayed at – pretty average, and the selection was somewhat limited, but enough to fill up. **Summary:** Hotels on Kata Beach generally aren't very grand because the area is relatively livelier and more crowded than Karon, with narrower and more congested streets. However, this doesn't detract from the holiday experience; it's just a different vibe, which is actually quite nice. The bustling area outside offers easy access to food, and the beach has a long coastline. It's more crowded than Karon but the waves are gentle, making it suitable for families with young children. Overall, it was a good experience and worth trying.

This hotel is really great! I fell in love with it. 1. Location: You walk out and literally two meters away is an evening food court. Across the road is access to the sea, and nearby are shops, pharmacies, currency exchange offices, and massage parlors. 2. The hotel is in a classic Thai style (not modern), but I actually like that – it's so cozy and very green, and I love greenery and gardens. Plumerias grow around the pool and smell wonderful. 3. Housekeeping every day, towel changes, and water replenished daily. 4. The food isn't diverse, but everything is delicious. They fry any kind of eggs, and there are fruits, pastries, sausages (I don't eat them in Thailand, they taste like soy to me), more pastries, juices, and coffee. In any case, it's better than having breakfast at home 😉 5. Clean and warm swimming pool. There are two of them. We will definitely come back here.

Just a few minutes' walk to Kata Beach, so the location is decent. The hotel is situated behind a night market, but it's not noisy inside the hotel at all, which is great. Overall, it's pretty good. The reception staff were all very friendly. The cleanliness was also acceptable. I really liked the direct pool access rooms; they didn't feel humid at all.

Beautiful green grounds. Good breakfast (might seem a bit repetitive to some, but over 5 days we always found plenty to eat without issue). There's a coffee break with light snacks included in the price. A quiet hotel with a great location.

This is an older resort hotel with a rather outdated design and decor. The price of around 300 is reasonable. The location is quite secluded and a bit hard to find.

Everything was good, and they even offered welcome fruits. The food was decent too. Our whole family was quite satisfied. However, there was one dark-skinned front desk staff member who spoke English and had a rather unpleasant attitude. They seemed a bit impatient when I checked out.
