This was our second time staying at this nice resort. It is tucked away behind a very busy food street and market, so it is easily overlooked. Location-wise, though, it is very good — you are right behind all the action, but once inside the resort it feels quite different.
The resort itself is very long. From the front to the back, it felt like we walked forever! Our room was a pool-access room, with direct access to the shared pool. We had one of the last rooms in the row, which actually worked very well for us. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet, and being so far from the busy food market meant we couldn’t hear the noisy motorbikes from inside the resort.
Although the pool was shared, we had no neighbours immediately next to us and only a few people across the pool, so at times it felt like we had the pool almost to ourselves.
One nice feature was that the air conditioning stayed on even when we removed the room key. This made coming back to the room after being outside in the hot and humid weather a real pleasure.
We spent quite a lot of our time in the room and enjoying the pool, mainly because it was so hot and humid during our stay. The breakfast was reasonable and enjoyable, with enough choice to start the day.
The staff were also friendly and helpful. Before booking, we actually asked if we could look around the resort and see the room, and they were happy to let us walk through and have a look before we committed to the booking. That was appreciated.
The only real annoyance was the Wi-Fi. The router in our room was not working properly, so we had to use the Wi-Fi from the neighbouring room instead. Even that was not reliable all the time. It was more of an annoyance than a serious problem, but it is still something you wouldn’t expect from a resort like this.
Overall, we enjoyed our second stay here. The location is excellent, the pool-access room worked very well for us, and once inside the resort it was surprisingly quiet despite being right behind such a busy food area.
