Hilton Urumqi

The room quality is standard Hilton, and having stayed at many Hilton hotels in different locations, I'm quite satisfied. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Urumqi. It's very close to the airport, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The kids really enjoyed the hotel's buffet breakfast and the swimming pool.

The rooms are great, and the executive floors are on the top two levels. The breakfast was really good, and the executive lounge also offered excellent food and drinks. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the bedding was very comfortable. The parking lot is spacious enough. The location is also very good. Thanks to Amber for helping with the coordination, much appreciated.

The room was comfortable, the environment was quiet, the facilities were convenient, and the service was attentive – just perfect.

Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed a musty smell. The glass doors in the hallway were covered in smudges that hadn't been cleaned. I went down for breakfast around 9 AM, and many items were already gone. Later that evening, I asked for an extra blanket for my child, but was told the hotel had run out. However, about an hour later, a blanket was delivered to my room. When checking out, perhaps sensing my dissatisfaction with the service, they asked if I could refrain from leaving a review. Having stayed at many hotels, I'm truly puzzled as to how this establishment, awarded with the 'Golden Key,' manages to operate.

The hotel staff were incredibly attentive and made me feel right at home. It's super convenient, just a 10-minute walk behind the hotel to the Giant Buddha Temple. There's also a supermarket right across the street, plus a really authentic Xinjiang restaurant. I highly recommend staying here!

Great location and good service, with comfortable rooms. However, it's a bit pricey.

This hotel was a torture, even just breathing there was a struggle. At 3 AM, I couldn't take it anymore and called to get an air purifier. I've stayed at Hilton hotels all over the world, and this is by far the worst. First, the bathroom had no exhaust fan. Even hotels that don't cost four figures usually have an exhaust fan and a light switch in the bathroom! And with a wall plus the bed separating the bathroom from the window, the air quality after even a quick bathroom break was absolutely dreadful. Second, the hotel floors are generally quite low, and the hallways are incredibly long. Plus, all around the hotel, there are busy main roads, and on both sides of the lobby are parking lots. This meant that on the slightly lower floors, the entire room reeked of car exhaust, and with the bathroom odor trapped, breathing was pure misery. Third, the next day, as soon as I stepped out of the elevator downstairs, the entire lobby reeked of sewage, like a mop that had been left to soak for too long and started to smell! Unbelievable, I thought the room was bad enough. Fourth, when I was packing to switch hotels because I really couldn't stand it anymore, I discovered that the back of the pillow I hadn't even flipped over to sleep on, and the area of the bed sheet covered by the pillow, were both stained! Absolutely disgusting! And other services were equally subpar... too many to bother mentioning! All in all: if you don't want an overly frustrating experience and just want to breathe normally, I strongly suggest you choose another place!!!!

The breakfast was excellent, very rich and fresh. The Greek yogurt and baked buns were both fantastic. The pool was also very comfortable. The executive lounge benefits were great too; the food during happy hour was delicious.

The hotel was generally fine, but we happened to visit during an expo, which drove the prices up to 1200. For a Hilton in a non-tier-one city, this price feels like poor value for money. Also, there's room for improvement in some details, for instance, the housekeeping service could be better.
