I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience at BlueSotel Ao Nang.
During our stay, approximately 12,000 THB in cash went missing from our room overnight while we were asleep. Before going to bed at around 1am, we had checked our cash and belongings as usual. When we woke up a few hours later, the money was gone.
We immediately reported the incident to hotel staff. However, we were informed that the CCTV footage was inconclusive and that the door access logs did not show anything unusual. We were then advised to pursue the matter through the police.
What was particularly concerning was that another group of Malaysian guests we met at checkout told us they had also experienced missing cash during their stay. While I cannot confirm whether the incidents were related, hearing a similar account from other guests was alarming.
The loss of 12,000 THB was upsetting, but even more disappointing was the lack of meaningful support from the hotel. No goodwill gesture, compensation, or substantial assistance was offered despite the stress and inconvenience caused during what was meant to be a holiday.
Whether the money was taken by an intruder, another party, or under circumstances that could not be determined, guests should expect to feel safe in their hotel room. Unfortunately, after this experience, I left with serious concerns about security and cannot recommend staying here
