Generally, it was 3 star experience. Advantages: good cleaning service, buffet food was okay most of the time, hotel is located very close to the sea. The biggest disadvantage is an “all inclusive”, it is definitely not comparable with Turkish all inclusive. First of all, visitors who paid for all inclusive are not getting anything in mini-bar, not even a water. You can get water from the bar from a water cooler, but you have to have your own bottle. Also, their “all inclusive” does not include a lot of drinks from the bar, and restaurant near the main bar and in front of the sea. The “all inclusive” ice cream is a joke, instead of the normal ice cream you are getting a smallest version of only 2 or 3 basic ice creams, for all other ones you need to pay. Also, the “snack bar” is located outside of the hotel, food itself was not too bad, but pretty basic, the area was very small and near the children’s swimming pool. For the beach towels you need to give 10€ deposit in cash, and if you want sun lounger with umbrella on the beach you need to pay 25€ for one day use. The hotel bar on the beach is also non “all inclusive”. So, out of all hotel locations you only can use your all inclusive benefit in 2 bars and 1 “snack bar” + buffet. Overall, hotel is not bad but not good. Would only recommend to go there with option bed+breakfast, and pay for the rest meals and drinks. It will be cheaper and you will not feel like an outsider or beggar, going around the hotel asking where you can eat. Because that how we felt exactly. P.S. Russian lady in the adults only bar was providing an amazing service and was very helpful and kind :)

The hotel is excellent overall: it is maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the dining options are truly outstanding. However, those wishing to explore the local area will find it extremely challenging without private transport. The nearest public bus stop is approximately a 30-minute walk away, and local car rental arrangements are prohibitively expensive. While it is possible to arrange for a rental vehicle to be delivered directly to the hotel via reception, this service costs €250 for a four-day period. More competitive rates are available from providers at Reus Airport, but travelling there requires booking a private taxi from the hotel at an additional cost of €60. Furthermore, ride-hailing services such as Uber and Bolt are not operational in this locality, meaning guests without their own vehicle may find themselves effectively confined to the hotel grounds. Alternatively, bicycles are available for hire nearby at a rate of €15 per day, or electric bicycles at €56 per day.

Booked through Jet2 for a week and it was the ideal choice for us. We travelled as a family with my 8 year old for her first trip abroad. The hotel was great as the little splash park and family pool area was just the right fit - it felt safe but there was enough to do. Others have commented about the lack of parasols but there are plenty of trees for shade. It was no issue getting a sun lounger by the pool and the snack bar was great so we could stay there all day. It might be less easy at peak times but we didn’t have any problems regardless of the time we went. The room was spacious and clean, and the air conditioning was very welcome. The outdoor space was lovely and we had everything we needed. We didn’t use the kids’ club or activities, but went to most of the evening entertainment. There was a fantastic Michael Jackson tribute, and tributes to Queen and the Beatles, as well as some magicians. It was all good fun and there was plenty of seating. The waiters were great and refreshed drinks for us. The buffets at breakfast and in the evening were ok. My daughter is a fussy eater so it was great that there were plenty of plain options. It’s probably not great if you’re vegetarian or have allergies, as the labelling was hit and miss, but it did the job. The drinks are self-service when you’re all inclusive which was handy. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the centre of Cambrils but it was still manageable. We didn’t really leave much, though. The beach directly outside of the hotel was lovely and because the water was so shallow, it was ideal for my kids to try out We took a taxi to Port Adventura (don’t bother!) and it cost 32E before the tip. Reception called the taxi for us and it was only a short wait. I probably wouldn’t choose the hotel if it was just me and my husband, but it was perfect for my daughter’s first trip abroad. It’s an easy transfer to Reus airport, too.

1st visit to this hotel and Cambrils this itself. Very impressed. Hotel is spotless and grounds well kept. Only our 2nd family holiday abroad with a 3 year old. She had a great time. Really enjoyed the indoor pool, kids disco and beach, which is close by. Plenty of choice at the all inclusive buffet to keep everyone happy. Nice modern looking junior suite. Would definitely return.

This is a fantastic hotel. I stayed here with my wife and two five year old boys and we were all incredibly impressed. For context, we are very fussy, we have high standards but we set these to match both the price tag and the star rating. In our view, having stayed in many, many 4 star hotels in spain and other countries I would say with confidence this IS a 4 star hotel. Anyone who says this is three star clearly hasn’t stayed at a three star hotel. The hotel itself is set in beautiful grounds and is maintained well. We had a junior suite and I don’t think I’ve stayed in a hotel room before at this price range that was so well though out design wise for a family of 4. 1 large king size bed, and two decent sized single beds that turned into either a chair or sofa in the day. Huge balcony, fresh towels and turn down every day. Shampoo and shower gel is also provided but we tend to bring our own. If you find you have forgotten anything there is a fabulous shop onsite stocking most essentials. I agree with some other reviewers that speaking a bit of Spanish goes a long way here and rightly so. This is Spain, try and speak the language. Many people who visit England and English is not their mother tounge, I’d be shocked if someone in the hotel spoke something other than English to accommodate them so we always make an effort to learn the language and make conversation. It does go a long way. The food was incredible, my wife and I have stayed in many places before but the food here was 4 star plus, plenty of choice, all fresh and very little repetition. Estrella, white, red and rose wine on tap throughout the day (apart from breakfast but there is cava if you’d fancy a morning tipple- find me a three star that provides that in the morning). The lunch at the pool bar was excellent for quick delicious bites and again, cocktails, beer and soft drinks on tap. Perfect! The pool areas were spotless could always find a sun bed even at 2pm. Many people say there aren’t parasols around the kids splash park but there are loads of trees and this provided us shade for most of the day. The staff work very, very hard and it shows the bar staff, entertainment staff and the Terrace staff were incredible with us and our children. I gave them a small tip each night and they were so grateful they always provided us with a speedy friendly service and again, this goes a long way. We didn’t have the best view in the world over looking the car park for our room but at the end of the day, it’s swings and round abouts sometimes you get a nice one sometimes you don’t, if the view would ruin your holiday then I’m sure they would accommodate but it didn’t bother us. Rooms are air conditioned to 22 degrees which was beautiful and very cold when you came back to the room. The entertainment was of a good standard, we were so busy during the day we often missed the disco but the kids made friends and enjoyed what was on offer. The location is a bit out of the way

2nd visit to estival el dorado and again the food was excellent, bar service and variety again excellent. Spotlessly clean and spacious suite. I had a massage and facial in the spa which was great value and a wonderful couple of hours. Pool loungers always available as well as shade around the activity/splash pool which is very important for a red head like me. Kids loved the activities with the kids club and entertainment team around the pool.

The location of the hotel is fantastic couple of mintes walk from the beach. 15 mins taxi ride from ferrari land etc costing around €22. Including a couple of minutes walk from aquapolis. The food was ok if you like chips 7 days a week including for snacks. The mash potatoes was runny. The veal was like rubber. Where the hotel is postioned i would of expected more different fish based food. The head chef and catering manager could do more work to improve the menu instead of just playing it safe with the current food they offer. The bed in the hotel junior suite that i booked for me and my family as a suprise was rock hard and the sheets only changed once as their was a black mark on the top sheet to which i could tell. Their was black mould around the bottom of the walk in shower. Due to the way the cleaners work we had to wait till 2pm to get in our room even though we landed in spain around 11am. There are other ways of operating the system so you can get the new arriving customers into there rooms and cleaning customers rooms that are already on site. The cleaning and catering staff need to talk to customers properly instead of ranting and raving at them in spanish, this is very unacceptable and unprofessional. I would very happily go along and turn these problems round so hopefully the hotels would get the 5 stars the hotel deserves.
