Deer Brook Inn

What a beautiful, well-appointed property! Lots of upgrades in this charming 200 plus year-old farm house. We will definitely return!

DeerBrook was everything we envisioned for our inaugural trip to New England. The inn is exceptionally cozy and situated just minutes away from the charming town of Woodstock. Carmen is a phenomenal host whose thoughtfulness shines through in every detail. From brewing a special pot of French press when she ran out of decaf pods, to lending us a backpack for our hike, and even remembering hot sauce for my breakfast, she exceeded every expectation. DeerBrook is quaint, comfortable, and feels like a true home away from home. Our sincere thanks to Carmen and her family!

My husband and I stayed at Deer Brook Inn during a vacation traveling through the New England States. It was an awesome experience...the location was perfect as well as the atmosphere at the inn. The host was very warm and welcoming and the check-in process was very well organized. We loved our room that my husband selected...it was perfect, clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. In addition to our bedroom, we had access to additional sitting areas, the dining area and a beautiful outside sitting area. The host has thought of EVERYTHING to make the inn inviting, comfortable, modern but quaint. The fridge in the dining area was stocked with various types of beverages. Home baked cookies and fruit were also made available to us. There was also coffee and tea. In the morning, our host provided a delicious homecooked breakfast and the presentation was beautiful as well. In our room was a notebook with tips and suggestions for visiting the town of Woodstock...restaurants, directions for scenic drives, etc., that we found very helpful!! We were so impressed with the excellent quality of service we received! We loved our experience so much that we plan to go back with our friends and family! A huge THANK YOU to our host for the warm, amazing hospitality and for providing such a lovely "home away from home"!!

Completely lovely… all of it. The whole house is beautifully appointed, comfortable, warm, welcoming. Bedroom was spacious and beautiful. The breakfast was outstanding. Our hosts— Carmen and Chris could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We highly recommend this experience.

The property manager greeted us when we walked in and she was extremely friendly and kind. The inn was charming and had a homey feel, and the rooms were very clean and well maintained with awesome amenities.

Deer Brook Inn was amazing! It is beautifully decorated, immaculate and very cozy. Carmen and Chris were wonderful hosts. They were very accommodating, personable and hospitable. The inn is definitely a labor of love for them. Breakfasts were delicious and Carmen is an excellent baker. I highly recommend staying here when in the area.

We wanted a quiet two nights away during the window between leaf peeping and ski season. Deer Brook was the perfect solution. The hosts Carmen and Chris have created a warm welcoming environment with just the right amount of interaction. A simple text to Carmen for needs and questions. Delicious well-presented breakfasts, afternoon hot cider or cocoa, comfortable living room area with fireplace, and climate-controlled rooms (my husband is always cold). Easy ride to the Woodstock sights. The snow flurries stopped us from using the firepit and sauna, but we walked in the woods at the nearby National Park (buildings still closed due to government shut down). We recommend the Deer Brook Inn to anyone looking for a classic B & B experience. We will be back!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Deer Brook Inn! Owners Chris and Carmen were gracious hosts, the place was beautifully decorated, and the breakfasts were delicious! Additional touches included warm cider, homemade cookies, and nighttime bonfires!
