Frasers House, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Singapore

This hotel is quite outdated. The AC vents look like they haven't been cleaned in years; they're really dirty! Every morning, I'd find black solid particles on the floor that had fallen from the vents overnight! I was going to ask for a room change, but then I figured since it's a central AC system, other rooms probably wouldn't be much cleaner anyway.

InterContinental Singapore's facilities are top-notch, with elegant Nanyang-style decor. The rooms are spacious for Singapore standards, the bedding is comfortable, and the bath amenities are fragrant. The location is excellent, right next to Bugis MRT station, and within walking distance to Haji Lane and Bugis Junction, making it convenient for dining, drinking, and shopping. The service was a mixed bag: the morning shift Chinese-speaking front desk staff were enthusiastic and proactively upgraded our room, but at night, there were no Chinese-speaking staff available, and we had to wait a long time when calling for assistance during a power outage. Breakfast offered a wide selection, with crispy croissants and authentic freshly made laksa, though replenishment was a bit slow. The pool is small and quiet, perfect for relaxing. If they can maintain consistent service, I would definitely choose to stay here again.

The InterContinental Singapore boasts an excellent location and charming Nanyang-style decor. It's incredibly convenient, with a metro station directly downstairs and a vibrant Chinese food street nearby. The extensive buffet breakfast on the ground floor offers a great variety of delicious Chinese, Western, and Indian dishes. Guests can also enjoy an outdoor swimming pool on the fourth floor. Furthermore, the twin rooms are exceptionally spacious, featuring beds that are a generous 1.3 meters wide, a noticeable advantage compared to many other hotels.

The hotel boasts a stylish design and excellent service. Its location, however, is a bit off the beaten path, quite a distance from both Universal Studios and Palawan. It's also a minor inconvenience that, like many Singapore hotels, breakfast isn't included. Otherwise, everything was great. Due to our tight schedule, we sadly missed out on the outdoor pool – a big regret! We'll definitely make time for it on our next visit.
