Hyatt Regency Changchun

This hotel boasts a super convenient location: there's a subway entrance right outside, MixC Mall across the street, Peony Garden next door, and a children's park not too far away. This was my first time staying at a Hyatt in Changchun, and it was a pretty standard 5-star experience, nothing spectacular. The staff were friendly and the service was good. The high-ceilinged room felt spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room and good soundproofing. The executive lounge offered decent refreshments, but the evening light meal was pretty mediocre, and it doesn't serve breakfast (opening at 10 AM and closing at 9 PM). The pool is 25 meters long with a small jacuzzi right next to it. There's no dry sauna, and the steam room wasn't open during my stay. Overall, I'd still recommend it.

We checked in quite late, and there was a long queue. Just as my patience was running out, a very enthusiastic woman came over and directed us to another counter for check-in. She was concise and efficient. She clearly stated that there were no bed rails (I had noted in advance that we were traveling with a baby) but had arranged a king-size bed, which was actually two twin beds pushed together. This was very thoughtful and practical. This enthusiastic young woman deserves high praise (I don't usually leave reviews, but her defining characteristic was that she was a lovely, well-built girl; I didn't catch her name, so I can only describe her this way for the hotel to commend or reward her). She also arranged a late check-out for us, which was truly fantastic! Hygiene: Overall, it was very clean and tidy, though there were a tiny few water stains. This is understandable, and you wouldn't notice them without a magnifying glass. Facilities: We mainly slept and took our child out for meals, so we didn't get to experience facilities like the gym, though the front desk did mention them during check-in. Environment: The hotel is right outside the subway station, and across the street is MixC Mall, which is incredibly convenient. However, there was some trash outside the entrance that didn't quite match the hotel's ambiance, and the parking area outside didn't look very neat, lacking the grandeur expected of a five-star hotel entrance. Nevertheless, the view from our room was absolutely stunning.

Overall experience: five stars! The place was clean, and Mary provided excellent, attentive service. It's conveniently located, making it perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. Definitely worth a five-star rating.

Lena at the Grand Hyatt Changchun's guest services center was incredibly helpful! She knew I had a late train, so she kindly extended my check-out time to 2 PM. So thoughtful!

This was my first time staying at a Hyatt hotel, and my experience wasn't great. Because there was a conference, rooms were tight. The front desk upgraded me to a suite. She probably didn't see my request for a non-smoking room. When I got into the elevator, I noticed there were 'green floors' (non-smoking floors). I never realized there was such a huge difference between smoking and non-smoking floors. On the smoking floor, as soon as the elevator doors opened, there was a strong, acrid smell of smoke. I thought the room might be better, but it was even worse – unbearable. The windows were completely sealed, so there was no air circulation. The front desk then moved me to a standard room on a green (non-smoking) floor, where the air was fresh. The pool water wasn't very clean either. Breakfast had a great variety, and the beef pancakes were delicious.

The room was quite spacious, clean, and tidy, and my child absolutely loved it. Staying on the 41st floor offered a fantastic panoramic view of Changchun's night cityscape. The front desk lady was incredibly thoughtful; after learning it was my child's birthday, she even sent over a cake! Breakfast was rich and varied, and the service was attentive.

The room was spacious and comfortable, very clean and tidy. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was exceptionally delicious. The swimming pool is great for families with kids. It's also very close to the subway station, and there's a night market right downstairs, which is a big plus!

The location, transport, and environment are excellent. Across the street is MixC Mall, and the subway station is right outside. It's also not far from Changchun Railway Station. The view from the 43rd floor is great, and the sofa by the window is very comfortable. Breakfast was good. However, the service could be more proactive. I had a small hiccup during check-in, experiencing a power outage in my room for the first time, which required a room change. The issue was handled and resolved relatively quickly, and when I mentioned the tissues in the room were scarce, they were promptly refilled. I hope they can improve their attention to service details. Overall, I would still recommend this place.

The room was incredibly spacious and bright, and the city lights outside the window at night were absolutely stunning. The breakfast spread was also excellent, with different options each of the two days. For the same price, this hotel offers much better value for money than the other long-standing five-star hotel.
